Call to Artists

Play Frisco Cultural Affairs seeks two-dimensional artworks by artists living in the state of TX and who are over the age of 18 for this annual "Winter Art Show" exhibition that thematically or conceptually relates to wintertime.

About the Exhibition

This exhibition celebrates one of the four seasons through artwork that represents or suggests anything related to winter, such as snowy birch trees, snowflakes, holidays, wintry woodlands and creatures, winter-time activities and sports, frozen landscapes, aurora borealis, snow-capped mountains, etc.   

Media

All two-dimensional artistic media will be considered. All artworks must be framed, wired, and ready to display or hang. Generally, pieces may not be larger than 72” in any direction. The Frisco Discovery Center is a place for all ages and artworks must be unifying, community-centric and family-friendly.

Notification of acceptance: by Monday, 11/11/25 or earlier

Load-In: Sunday, 11/16/25 between 12PM-2PM at Frisco Discovery Center, 8004 N. Dallas Pkwy, Frisco, TX 75034 in the Community Gallery

Application Requirements

It is free for eligible artists to submit images of up to five (5) artworks. If selected for the exhibition, a $30 entry fee is due by credit card prior to load-in, along with a signed Gallery Guidelines document and Artist Release Form.

Eligibility Criteria

This open call for art is open to artists in Texas who are ages 18 & up. Only entries that meet the exhibition requirements will be considered for the exhibition.
