Call Description

The Niza Knoll Gallery invites artists to submit work for “Gelatin Prints – A Redefined Pull,” an exhibition celebrating the inventive, tactile, and ever-surprising world of gelatin printing. This show highlights how artists reinterpret this medium—pushing beyond its traditional boundaries to explore texture, layering, transparency, and chance.

We seek works that demonstrate the spirit of experimentation inherent in gelatin printing—where each pull is unique. Submissions may include:

  • Traditional monoprints or series exploring form, pattern, or color
  • Botanical or textural impressions
  • Mixed-media pieces combining gelatin prints with drawing, collage, or painting
  • NO MAGAZINE IMAGES, GICLÉ or AI IMAGES
  • 2D work must not exceed 48”wide x  72 high . ( including frame )

Application Requirements

  • All submitted artwork must be original. NO AI or giclé
  • Accepted work must be dropped off in person at the gallery - 915 Santa Fe Drive, Denver.
  • Do not submit work if you do not have the ability to do this on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 between 12 - 4 pm
  • Fee for entry is $38.00 for 1 to 3 entries. Non-refundable

 Submissions must include:

1)  Artist's contact information with email and mobile phone number that accepts text messages.

2)  Short paragraph about the submitted work.

3)  Information about the artwork- Title, Size, Medium and Retail Price (Please price with the knowledge that the gallery commission on sales is 40%)

 You must be aware of these dates and be able to meet these important deadlines.

  • Entry Deadline: February 26, 2026
  • Announcement of accepted works: March 1

Drop off accepted work: TUESDAY March 3, 2026 beteen 12 - 4 pm

  • Exhibition Dates: March 6 - April 12, 2026
  • Artist Reception: Friday, March 20 between 5 - 8 pm
  • Art Pickup: Sunday, April 12 from 3-5 pm

Eligibility Criteria

  • Artist must have the ability to drop off accepted work in person at 915 Santa Fe Drive in Denver, Colorado  on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. between 12 - 4 pm
  • NO SHIPPING or  delivery services accepted.
  • All accepted artworks must be for sale and remain in the gallery until Sunday, Sunday, April 12, 2026
  • Gallery commission is 40% of sales price.
  • Applicant must be over 18 years of age.
  • Artists are solely responsible for delivery and pick-up of all artworks. NO SHIPPING or  delivery services accepted.
  • Submission fees are non-refundable.

 Presentation / Hanging Requirements.

  • All artworks must be well executed, clean, dry and ready to display.

2D work must not exceed 48”wide x  72 high ( including Frame )

  • If the work will be hung it must be ready to hang with a secure wire on the back. No zigzag or triangular hangers.
  • For special hanging please bring instructions and any special nails.
  • All work must not exceed 30 pounds. If work weighs more than 30 pounds artist may need to help install the piece.
  • All art must be brought into gallery on Tuesday, March 3 between 12 -4 pm
