IMAGE SUBMISSION GUIDELINES FOR THE JURY PROCESS: Images submitted must be in digital, JPEG format, and 300dpi. Do not submit slides, photographs, or the original pieces. Crop out all frames and mats and do not include identifying information (like a signature) directly on the image. Custom slide shows with special effects cannot be accepted. Please title all images as follows: entry number, title, and artist name (example: 2_Far Off Land_Jane Lane). Make sure that the image quality reflects the original piece as this will be the only image considered during the jury selection. The juror and Arts Guild staff reserve the right of refusal if the quality of the delivered work differs from the image submitted to the juror.
ENTRY FEE: Entry fee is not refundable. $35 for three entries.
ACCEPTED ARTWORK: Artists will be notified via email of the juror’s results. Work accepted for the exhibition must be labeled on the back with the entry number, artist name, title, medium, dimensions (height x width x depth), retail price, and date created. 2-D artwork must have a secure wire in the back to be ready to hang. No sawtooth hooks!
SALES: All pieces must be for sale. The Carbon County Arts Guild & Depot Gallery manages all sales and receives a 40% commission on the retail price.
SHIPPING: Upon notification of acceptance, work may be shipped or hand-delivered. Guild staff will make every effort to save shipping boxes for use in return of artwork. The artist is responsible for all delivery and return packing, insurance, and shipping costs. For help with return shipping, contact the Depot Gallery at the end of the exhibition. All returns will be managed by the local UPS/FedEx outlet at Junction 7. Please do not send additional funds to the Gallery for return art shipping costs. These costs will be handled between the artist and Junction 7.
