Call Description
This year MoNA turns 45! The Art Auction is what makes it possible for MoNA to be a museum for the community, by the community. As our largest fundraiser of the year, the Art Auction helps raise essential funds to enrich the lives of our community through art education programs which inspire creativity and expression, and through exhibitions and the legacy of the Permanent Collection which brings to the public the work of Pacific Northwest artists, past and present. The Auction makes it possible for MoNA to be the place where everyone can experience Northwest art, admission-free, year-round.This highly anticipated event will once again bring together collectors, artists, and art enthusiasts for a memorable evening of bidding in support of the Museum. Artists have been the heartbeat of MoNA since our founding in 1981 and for more than four decades now they have been fueling the mission of the museum through art donations. By donating, you are supporting MoNA, whose mission is to collect, preserve, interpret and exhibit art created in the Pacific Northwest, support artists, and integrate art into the lives of all people.

This year, the MoNA Art Auction will be juried by Jessica Wilks, Director of Curatorial at Tacoma Art Museum. Her knowledge of the Northwest artistic landscape will guide her through the selection process, warranting that each artist's submission is reviewed with care and professionalism. As for any juried process, we hope that having the work selected either for the Live or Silent auction will add recognition to the artist's work, vision, and achievement.
2026 Art Auction Juror
Jessica Wilks serves as the Director of Curatorial at Tacoma Art Museum and brings more than 20 years of museum experience to the role. She leads the curatorial team and guides the development of exhibitions, acquisitions, and long-term collection strategy. Her work centers on advancing Tacoma Art Museum’s commitment to the art and artists of the Pacific Northwest and the broader western region
We expect to showcase 250+ exceptional works of art and unique experience packages, all available for spirited bidding in the Silent and Live auctions. In addition, MoNA’s extensive marketing and promotion campaign will create buzz and build anticipation for the auction, ensuring all artists will reach an audience of influential community leaders and arts patrons.
