Read carefully to apply correctly! You are allowed up to four entries, and you may apply in more than one category. Before checking out, review your application to make sure your art is entered into the correct category and call. If you enter the wrong CALL, your error cannot be corrected, and your work will not be accepted.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR PAINTINGS, MIXED MEDIA 2D, PRINTMAKING, AND DRAWINGS
PAINTINGS: Oil, acrylic, tempera, pastel, airbrush, gouache, and watercolor. No reproductions or giclée prints are allowed and artwork must be priced to sell.
MIXED MEDIA 2D: Two-dimensional art, including collage and encaustic, that combines different painting and drawing materials and methods, rather than only one method.

A note on pastels: Pastels may be entered under paintings or drawings. It is up to the artist to determine which category best fits their use of this medium, however, all your works must be entered in one or the other.
Make note of new size requirements as these have changed.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PHOTOGRAPHY AND DIGITAL ART
PHOTOGRAPHY: Whether photojournalism or fine art photography, each image is captured using a camera (film or digital) and originates from a single exposure capturing a moment in time. All imagery must be the exclusive work of the submitting photographer. Digital adjustments typical of a traditional darkroom may be used for color correction, exposure, cropping, and minor retouching that does not materially alter the subject matter and the essential reality of the scene.
Examples of what is NOT permitted:
- Composites or montaged images from more than one original image
- Adding or removing major elements
- Replacing backgrounds or foregrounds (e.g., no sky replacements)
- AI-generated images
DIGITAL ART: Digital art is any original artwork in which an image or combined images are created or substantially transformed by the artist using digital tools for specialized effects. The artist is creating something new that could not be captured in a single photograph. Software is the primary creative medium rather than the camera. This may include adjusting an original image in multiple ways and layering it with other digital elements. All components must be created by the artist.
Examples of what is NOT permitted:
- AI-generated images
- Utilization of copyrighted images (not owned by the artist), stock images, or images downloaded from the web
Presentation and size requirements for Photography and Digital Art:
- Finished artwork must not exceed 30"x 40” or 36” x 36” (maximum 1,296 sq. in.), unframed.
- Finished artwork must not be smaller than 12”x12” or 144 sq. inches, unframed.
- Photography and Digital art may be printed on substrate or material of your choice (i.e., paper, canvas, metal, etc.)
- Artwork must be wired for hanging.
- Sawtooth picture hangers are not accepted.
- All digital art must be printed. We cannot exhibit digital art on computers.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR SCULPTURE AND ARTISAN WORKS
SCULPTURE: Work may be created in any medium, metal, ceramic, glass, wood, paper, mixed, etc. If entries exceed 50 pounds, the artist must provide proper pedestals. Any applied paint must be dry. We recommend that small items be in a clear case for their protection.
ARTISAN WORKS: Artisan works are functional or decorative items created with a high level of craftsmanship, creativity, and personal skill. Examples include handcrafted ceramics, textiles, woodwork, glass art, leather goods, and metalwork. Most artisan works are three-dimensional. We recommend that small items be in a clear case for their protection.
Items deemed too fragile or unstable will not be accepted.
Presentation and size requirements for Sculpture and Artisan Works:
- Three-dimensional work may not exceed 60”x 30”x 30.”
- Only minor on-site assembly is allowed.
- The artist must move heavy items (50 pounds or more) into place.
- Textile entries must not exceed 1,800 square inches.
- Hanging textiles, rugs, or quilts must have a sleeve for mounting. A hanging rod must be provided.
- Nothing can be hung from the ceiling or overhead.
- Hanging wire may be visible ONLY if it is part of the overall design of the piece.
- Wall-mounted sculpture or artisan works must be wired for hanging and must not exceed 30 lbs.
- No electricity is available in the Galleries for lighting or a water feature.
DIGITAL IMAGE REQUIREMENTS – ALL CATEGORIES
- Jpeg images are required for all entries. The quality of your photos matter! Make sure they are in focus, color accurate, and the image itself is complete without the frame showing.
- Images are required to be 1,200 pixels or greater on the longest side and under 5 MB.
- Paintings, prints, drawings, photography, digital art, small artisan works, miniatures, and small paintings: one image per artwork.
- Sculpture and artisan works: three views are allowed per piece but must be combined into one image or you will be charged for extra entries.
