2014 CALL FOR ARTISTS
Minan Gallery is seeking emerging and mid-career artists to join their roster. The gallery is located in Los Angeles, California, just blocks from LACMA, Museum Row, Miracle Mile and Culver City. Selected artists will become official Minan Gallery artists, and will receive all the benefits of being a gallery artist. Benefits include, but are not limited to the following: Solo Show Exhibition, Invitation to participate in group exhibitions, Representation at various art fairs, Consultation and portfolio assistance, Marketing and promotional assistance in selected art magazines and publications.*
*Minan Gallery is not a co-op gallery, and does not collect representation fees, consultation fees or rental fees from their artists.
There is no maximum limit to how many artists will be selected.
Artists of all mediums and genres are encouraged to apply. (Painting, Printmaking, Sculpture, Glass, Fiber, Jewelry, Functional, Digital, Photography, Installation, Video, Mixed-media, New genres)
JUROR
Jury will comprise of gallery directors and guest curators affiliated with Minan Gallery. Jurors will be announced to artists selected to join the Minan Gallery roster.

EXHIBITION
Selected artists will be invited to participate in the Feria Group Exhibition showcasing Minan Gallery artists in 2014. Selected artists will also be invited to have their own Solo Show Exhibition in the 2015 calendar year at Minan Gallery, in our Los Angeles location. Additionally, they will be invited to participate in a selection of art fairs and small group shows in various cities across the United States.
TIMELINE
Results will be announced on or before Friday, March 28, 2014.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- 6, 10, 15, or 20 images (uploaded to CAFE specifications)*
- Artist Statement (up to 2 pages) Please make sure that your artist statement is applicable to the body of work you submit.
- CV/resume (up to 2 pages)
- Bio (up to 1 page) not required, but beneficial
- Appropriate entry fee
- For Discount: Proof of eligibility for currently enrolled students or for seniors (age 65+)
*Image upload instructions provided by CAFE once you are a registered user. Exhibition print sizes will not determine eligibility.

You do not have to be a Student or Senior to apply, however if you are either, you are eligible for the discounted price of $35.

For Students: Send a copy of the front and back of your current valid Student I.D. confirming enrollment (dates must be visible.) If I.D. is not dated, send a copy of unofficial transcripts along with the front and back of student I.D.
For Seniors: any government issued I.D. that shows birthdate (age 65+)
Save your application on CAFE after you upload images and wait for a response from minangallery@gmail.com that includes your coupon code. At checkout, select to pay the $45 entry fee and click "re-calculate." A coupon code box will appear then. Enter the coupon code to receive the discounted rate.
Credit Card payments should be made directly through CAFE.
Checks made out to Minan Gallery should be mailed to: Minan Gallery, ATTN: 2014 CFA, 1051 South Fairfax Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90019 (USA). When mailing a check, please e-mail minangallery@gmail.com to notify us of you doing so. When your check is received, we will send you a confirmation reply.
