Call Description

Viridian Artists Gallery is proud to present its 34th International Juried Exhibition, juried by Shilpi Chandra, Assistant Curator at the Hudson River Museum.

30 artists will be selected with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place cash prizes awarded.  Also, included will be a Director's Choice digital exhibit to be on view during the exhibition.  

The deadline to submit is Wednesday, April 1st, 2026. 

The exhibition will run from Tuesday, April 21st to Saturday, May 9th, 206.  An opening reception will be on Thursday, April 23rd from 6 to 8pm.

Juror Shilpi Chandra is a curator and art historian focusing on contemporary American Art and the Asian diaspora. She is currently an Assistant Curator at the Hudson River Museum where she curated Alvin Hollingsworth: All That Jazz (2024), co-curated Everything Has a Story: Reflections on the Collection (2025) and adapted Hudson River Museum’s presentation of Modern Women/Modern Visions: Photographs from the Bank of America Collection (2026). Shilpi has also curated exhibitions independently at Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop and Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts, Pelham Art Center, Flushing Town Hall, and Queens Botanical Gardens where she worked with emerging artists and artist collectives. She was also awarded a 2024 Center for Craft Archive Fellowship for archival research into Krishna Reddy’s pioneering printmaking practice in New York which resulted in an exhibition and published article in Hyperallergic.

Application Requirements

All artists must submit only original work.  No artwork larger than 70 inches in any dimension. Please no AI, prints, or digital work. 

Eligibility Criteria

This exhibition is open to all artists 18 years or older.  Anyone in the United States or internationally may apply. Please no students.
