Call Description

The Redstone Labor Day Arts Show is in its 30th year. The event is held over 2.5 days on the Labor Day weekend which is a busy time for tourists and locals to explore the Crystal River Valley.

The Arts Show runs from Friday evening September 4th through Sunday afternoon September 6th at 5pm.

The Labor Day Arts show opens with a Friday evening reception (5pm-8pm) where appetizers and drinks are provided. The Friday evening reception has historically been well attended by the local community and is a chance to socialize with other artists and the community alike.

The art show is open from 10am-5pm Saturday and Sunday September 5th and 6th.

The show is located in two event tents on the front lawn and in the back of the Redstone Inn, as well as individual 10x10 pop up tents. You will be asked if you would like to display your work on panels or tables in the main tents, or if you will provide your own 10x10 pop up tent and displays.

Panels are 90” wide and 71” high. Pedestals will be available for sculptures.Tables measuring 2.5’ x 8’ are provided for jewelry, pottery and fabric art.  Space outside the tent will be made available for large outdoor sculptures. The artist coordinator will be in touch with you about your specific needs.

Optional 10x10 tent space can be made available for artists wishing a larger area and can provide their own tent and displays.

A commission of 30% will be charged on all sales as well as a booth fee of $75. The $10 application fee from Call For Entry is a non-refundable application fee. Once accepted, payment of the $75 booth fee will be requested.

Proceeds from the show will be directed toward scholarships for deserving local students.

Redstone Art Foundation (RAF) will manage all sales, collect sales tax and reimburse the state.  Credit cards will be accepted.

You must be present during the entire show and be prepared to talk with the patrons. If you cannot be available during specific times, please communicate this to our artist coordinator and arrange for alternate coverage.

Artwork must be delivered to the Redstone Inn at the scheduled times during the week prior to the show.  Timing of delivery and hanging of work will be communicated closer to the show dates. Paint and finishes must be completely dry.
