Call Description
The America 250 City Art Poster Project invites artists of all ages and experience levels, whether you’re just starting out or have been creating for decades, to imagine, celebrate, and reimagine the stories that define Fort Worth and North Texas, while inspiring hope for the future of our country in honor of the semiquincentennial. From historic milestones to everyday experiences that shape community identity, artists are encouraged to explore the people, places, and values that make the city unique. This is more than an art competition: it’s an opportunity to share your perspective, honor the city’s past, and contribute to a living narrative of Fort Worth’s culture and spirit.
Participating cities will collaborate with artists to create visual representations (posters) that celebrate local history and inspire hope for the future in honor of this milestone.
The selected work will become part of a nationwide exhibition and celebration, offering Fort Worth artists rare national visibility and a chance to leave a lasting mark on America’s cultural history. The project is an opportunity to elevate local voices, showcase the city’s talent, and reinforce Fort Worth’s legacy as a forward-looking, imaginative cultural hub.
