Palmer Lake is located at 7300 ft altitude between Denver and Colorado Springs, Colorado; in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.

Established in 1886, the town borders the national forest, ranch lands, and the ancestral lands of many Native American groups [https://palmerdividehistory.org/palmer-divide-history/].

The town hosts an annual wine festival, theater, kids fishing contest, music concerts and art events, Winter Fest, restaurants, and many summer days around the lake.
