About our Judge:
We are honored to have Colorado Fine Art Artist Dan Oakleaf as our judge for the 2026 show. Dan Oakleaf is a lifelong Colorado resident, with a passion for drawing. He soon moved from sketching to painting, inspired by workshops with Terry Issac and Robert Bateman. Seeking more rigorous study, Dan joined the Art Students League of Denver, learning from Molly Davis and later taking an intensive painting course with Kevin Weckbach. Instruction from artists like Quang Ho, John Lencicki, and Tony Ortega further honed his skills. Now painting full time, Dan focuses on nature, whether in the field, studio, or at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. While he values visual and technical aspects, nature remains his main inspiration. Dan’s artwork can be found at the Curtis Center for the Arts, Arts at Denver and Evergreen Fine Art. To learn more about Dan’s work, go to www.danoakleaf.com.
Please Read Entire Prospectus and Terms of Submission to be sure you meet all entry and participation requirements.
