LUSH 4: A Contemporary Ceramics Biennial
The fourth edition of our contemporary ceramics biennial, LUSH features the most cutting-edge and innovative practices in contemporary ceramics. This juried exhibition is open nationally to all emerging and established ceramics artists who create functional, sculptural, and experimental pieces in clay. The exhibition offers artists the opportunity to present their strongest work to influential collectors in a world-class gallery in Palm Beach County, Florida.
Artists will be selected by a panel of nationally recognized ceramic artists and the curator of Lighthouse ArtCenter.
The exhibition runs from September 10 — November 14, 2026. There will be an Artists' Reception and Award Ceremony with judging by ceramic artist Bradley Klem on Thursday, October 15, 5 - 7 p.m.

Lighthouse ArtCenter (LAC) in Tequesta, Florida, is the oldest and largest visual arts organization serving northern Palm Beach and Martin Counties. The three-building campus features two state-of-the-art galleries with 5,000 square feet of exhibition space, and a School of Art with 35 faculty members and master artists. LAC serves over 2,200 adult students, 700 children, and provides outreach programs to underserved members of the community. Over 22,000 guests attend the world-class art exhibits and special events annualy. Lighthouse ArtCenter is a nonprofit 501c(3) charitable organization which has provided uninterrupted arts and cultural programming since 1964.

• Artwork may only arrive at Lighthouse ArtCenter during these time frames:
July 27-August 7, 2026
August 24 - September 4, 2026
• Exhibition opens September 10, 2026, 9:00 a.m.
• Artist Reception and Awards Ceremony October 15, 2026, 5 – 7 p.m.
• Exhibition closes: November 14, 2026, 4 p.m.
• Unsold works will be packed and shipped or picked up by November 20, 2026.
• Accepted artists must provide a return shipping label for unsold pieces at the close of the exhibition.
Application Requirements
Digital Image submission guidelines: Failure to comply with the digital image submission guidelines may result in the rejection of your submission.
•Submit up to three works
•Submit one image per work
•File format: JPEG/JPG only
•File dimensions: 1200 pixels or greater on the longest side.
•File size: under 5 MB
Important: Do not submit multiple images of the same work. Images are scored individually. Multiple views may be combined into a single image.
Application Checklist
Artist information: The name you provide will appear exactly as entered on exhibition labels. Please check spelling and capitalization carefully.
Artist statement: Maximum: 1000 characters. LAC reserves the right to edit statements as necessary.
For Each Submitted Work, Provide:

- Size (Width x Height x Depth in inches)
- Materials
- Price or NFS (Not For Sale)
- Photo credit (if photographer is not the artist)
Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility:
• $45 non-refundable application fee covers up to three unique items we will provide to the jury.
• Consideration by digital images submitted through the CaFE (Call for Entry) website only.
• 3D Art must be delivered ready to install with an appropriate base or hanging mechanism if necessary. Pedestals are provided by the gallery.
• Artwork must not have been previously displayed at the Lighthouse ArtCenter in Tequesta, Florida.
• All work must have been created within the last two years.
• All submitted pieces must meet the requirements in the prospectus. Any accepted works that deviate from these parameters will be rejected and returned to the artist at the artist's expense.
• Each label must contain the artist’s name and contact information, title of the work, dimensions, media, and price or NFS (not for sale).
• Artists are responsible for shipping and insurance of accepted works, both to and from the exhibition. Details for shipping will be provided once the jurying process is complete. Artworks is insured while onsite in the gallery.
• Lighthouse ArtCenter prefers (but does not require) that the work be offered for sale.
• Lighthouse ArtCenter will collect and remit all applicable sales tax.
• By submitting work, artists agree to all terms listed above.
