21st Annual Great Plains Juried Exhibition

The Great Plains is an open theme juried exhibition for visual artists in the region.  It is held at the Centre Gallery on the campus of Southeastern Oklahoma State University (SE).  Originally conceived and funded by the Red River Arts Council in conjunction with SE Visual Arts Dept, the show has a rich history of artistic diversity, genial competition, and meritorious jurors.

In-person Drop off of accepted works: 3/21 and 3/22 1-4p

Reception/Awards: 4/16 6-7:30p (pickup of work)

Application Requirements

Entries and payments will only be accepted through the CaFÉ website.

  • Each entrant may submit up to three digital images of three different art works for the entry fee
    • Each work must be represented by only one image (no detail views or duplicates)
  • An entrant may submit 1-2 additional entries for $10/entry

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Great Plains Juried Exhibition:

  • open to all artists over the age of 18
  • Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Missouri, and Arkansas Region
    • The gallery is not setup to take shipped work at this time.  Accepted works need to be delivered by the requested dates
  • 2D and 3D media accepted (2D works must be wired to hang)
  • size Requirements listed below
  • All works must be original and completed within THE LAST TWO YEARS
  • Works too old or too large will be disqualified. No previously submitted works will be accepted.
  • All works must be available through the entire run of the show. Do not submit works for jury that have already been sold

Size Limitations:

  • Two-dimensional works, when displayed, cannot exceed 60” in height or width, including frame.
  • Three-dimensional works cannot exceed 72” in height, 36” in width, and 36” in depth, including the pedestal or presentation platform.
