Call for Art

TREE II: Breath of Humanity

Verum Ultimum invites artists to once again interpret the theme "Tree," & the boundless notions this word conjures for second year. 

Please note this exhibition will be ONLINE ONLY. A softbound exhibition book will be published and available to the public.

Trees are essential to all life and are the very essence of expansion (intrinsic to every breath). They stand as a symbol for growth, connection, spirit, air, family, and more. Artists are encouraged to enter work that is any interpretation of the call. The intention of the call.  ALL MEDIUMS are welcome.   What does the word tree conjure for you? Is your work linked to a continuum of growth and/or sustenance?   Do you get lost in a forest or network of ideas rooted deep in your imagination?  Or perhaps you honor nature or a spiritual or poetic connection through your work. Or perhaps you see the theme as a chance to express art as a metaphor for (or reflection of) life itself & its relationship to this driving force?

Exhibition will be during the month of July 2026

ELIGIBILITY AND RESTRICTIONS: 
The competition is open to all 2D and 3D artists, national and international, working in all forms of painting, drawing, photography, graphics, digital, and sculpture are eligible. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older to apply. 

EXHIBITION: 
Selected artists will be featured in a virtual group exhibition online on the Verum Ultimum Art Gallery website. This includes an exhibition page and virtual viewing galleries that show the work in scale. Artists will also be featured in a published exhibition catalog and through online blogposts. Social media attention and promotion will remain on this exhibition for a minimum of 4 weeks.

EXHIBITION TERMS:
Works in this show may be for sale or artists may elect a new option (for virtual exhibition only, NFS option). The gallery commission for this virtual exhibition is 20% percent commission on all sales (handled by the gallery). The gallery will provide artists with prepaid shipping labels when their work sells through Verum Ultimum (for the duration of this exhibition).

Benefits to online exhibitions at Verum Ultimum:

A higher percentage of artists will be ACCEPTED! This exhibition is not confined by space.

The website remains comprehensive, and exhibitions remain on the website beyond the exhibition dates

An exhibition book will be produced and will remain in the Verum Ultimum library to be shared with visitors for years to come.

Social media attention will be focused on this exhibition for a minimum of 4 weeks.

​Verum Ultimum enjoys a monthly reach of 40-50K through its website, google, and social media channels.

Verum Ultimum average order value outperforms between 78%-93%of sites in the industry

ENTRY FEES: 
There is a $25.00 entry fee for 2 artworks entered and presentation is by digital JPG image files. There is an option to enter up to 6 images, but additional fees apply after 2 images.  
Details of artwork count as an additional artwork. Artists accepted to exhibit will not be charged additional fees of any kind. 
Payments by credit card at time of entry through Cafe (https://www.callforentry.org/) 

IMAGE USE / COPYRIGHTS: 
Artist retains all copyrights to submitted images and represented artwork. Digital images submitted with artist entry are for exhibition selection only and will be deleted after completion of the selection process. By entering the competition, artists selected to exhibit grant Verum Ultimum Gallery rights to use the selected image(s) on printed materials and the gallery web site for promotional purposes only. Verum Ultimum retain no copyrights to artists work. 

NOTIFICATION: 
Artists will be notified of acceptance or non-acceptance no later than 30 days after the call closes. Notification will be made via email. All artists who provide a working email address will be notified via email. Type your email address clearly, if a mistake is made you will not be notified. 

PRIVACY POLICY: 
Artist contact information (address, telephone, etc.) is only held for the purpose of contacting selected artists and is not preserved in any database. Entry data and image files are deleted on the completion of the jury process. 

DEADLINE: 
The entry deadline is May 26, 2026. Entries must be submitted via Café (https://www.callforentry.org/) by this date.
