CALENDAR

  • June 1st, 2026: Entries accepted at https://www.callforentry.org/login/
  • July 31st, 2026: Entry deadline
  • August 30th, 2026: Artist notified of acceptance or decline
  • October 30th, 2026: Artist drop-off paintings at Stables Gallery in Taos
  • October 31st, 2026-November 8th, 2026: Exhibit dates
  • October 31st, 2026: Opening reception and awards presentation
  • November 89th, 2026: Artists pick-up unsold paintings

JUROR and JUDGE  will be KEVIN MACPHERSON

Kevin is  recognized as one of America's most accomplished Impressionistic plein air painters. His discipline and dedication have earned him critical success and numerous awards for his artwork. He is a member of many top organizations and influence, including Master Oil Painters of America, Master American Impressionists Society, Master member California Art Club, member of the Salmagundi Club and Founding member and first president of the Plein Air Painters of America.

His work has been featured in more than 75 publications, books, television series and video.  In addition to writing three popular books on landscape painting, he has established stimulating artistic adventures.  These include international venues and opportunities such as Chateau des Arts, En Plein Air Masters, Brush with Life and Artist's Mentors Online and the television series, Passport and Palette.

DELIVERY and PICK-UP OF ACCEPTED PAINTINGS

All paintings must be hand delivered to the Stables Art Gallery, 133 Paseo Del Pueblo Norte, Taos, NM on October 30, 2026 between 10.00 am and 2:00 pm MST. If artist is unable to deliver in this timeframe it is their responsibility to make alternate arrangements.  No painting in the exhibition may be removed prior to the end of the exhibition.

SALES

  • All paintings will be considered for sale at the price set forth by the artist unless marked NFS (Not For Sale).  Prices may not be changed once accepted into the exhibition.
  • Any paintings sold will be subjected to a 20% commission. 

LIABILITY

It is suggested that artists carry their own insurance.  Submitting a work of art to this exhibition shall constitute an agreement on the part of the artist to comply fully with the terms and conditions set forth in this prospectus. The utmost care will be taken in handling works of art. Taos Watercolor Society and its representatives including (Stables Gallery) will not be responsible for damage or loss, whatever the cause.  Accepted artists release Taos Watercolor Society, its representatives and (Stables Gallery) from all liability with respect to loss or damage to the artist’s work of art.

  • Digital Image requirements:
    • Digital image must be in JPG format
    • Image must be at least 1200 pixels or greater on the longest side, and 300 dpi
    • File size up to 5 MB
    • Images just be cropped to exclude mat, frame, and any background
    • Images that are not correctly formatted are liable to be excluded from jurying
  • Entry fees:

Eligibility Criteria

Open to water media artists living in the New Mexico counties of Colfax, Los Alamos, Mora, Rio Arriba, San Miguel, and Taos.
