Call Description

The Gay Agenda is a juried Artsy.net online-only exhibition featuring work by queer artists across disciplines, perspectives, and practices.

This is not a show about what “queer art” is supposed to look like. It’s a show about who is making the work.

We are interested in the full range of creative expression from queer artists, without expectation or limitation. The work does not need to center identity, politics, or queerness as subject matter. It can, but it doesn’t have to. What matters is the voice behind it.

Bring us your best work. The piece you’re proud of. The one that feels like you.

All mediums are welcome, including painting, photography, sculpture, digital work, textile, mixed media, and beyond. This is a fully digital exhibition presented on Artsy, so no shipping is required to participate. If a work sells, shipping will be coordinated directly between the artist and collector.

This is a juried exhibition. Artists may submit up to three applications. Each additional artwork requires a separate application.

The exhibition will be live on Artsy for six weeks.
 

Commission

40/40/20 split on all artwork sold (Artsy takes 20% commission)

Buyer pays shipping and Artsy and gallery coordinate shipping.

Application Requirements

You can submit only 1 artwork per application for $15.00 (1 application = 1 artwork). If you want to submit more than one artwork, please start a new application for an additional artwork. 

Submit up to 10 images per artwork and up to 10 pieces for consideration.

If you submit different artworks under one application, only the first will be considered. Additional images are for showing various perspectives of a single artwork.

Eligibility Criteria

• Open to all artists regardless of location, identity, or background.
• All 2D, 3D, mixed media, photography, textiles and digital works accepted.
• We especially encourage submissions from queer artists, artists of color, and artists with different abilities.
