Call Description

Now in its 7th year, Jag Gallery's POOLSIDE is a popular juried exhibit with a call to artists for 2D and 3D original, (no AI, please), artwork with "Swimming Pool(s)" as part of the subject or the main subject with finished work not exceeding 40 inches in any orientation.  (Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, Pottery, Ceramics, Textiles, Photography)

This is an open call to to artists for an exhibit in August, opening with a gallery reception on Wednesday August 5th at our Key West, Florida location and at Jag's online gallery.

Accepted artwork must be for sale and Jag Gallery will assist with pricing upon request. 

Artists are responsible for shipping to and from the gallery and related costs.  If accepted, you will receive all of the necessary instructions for shipping at the time of notification..  Please do not ship any artwork prior to notification. Notification of acceptance will be revealed by e-mail on or about July 12th.

Accepted artwork must arrive installation ready and in excellent condition.  No damage of any kind should be present on the piece or it will be disqualified (scratches, cracks, knicks... etc).  Please adhere to our guidelines.

When applying, please submit a clear image of your work.  As accepted work will also be available for viewing and purchase via Jag's online gallery the best possible image representation is strongly recommended. White backgrounds are preferred for this, but not required.

The entry fee per artwork is $35 per entry.  Artists may submit up to five entries.

Commissions are based on a 50/50 gallery split and will be distributed by mail on or before September 30, 2026. Trophys will be awarded in the Judge's Choice (1), Honorable Mention (3), and People's Choice (1) categories, with winners and honorees invited to participate in a dedicated Jag Gallery group show in 2027.

Artists do not need to be present at the opening to participate.
