Call Description
Art Bias is presenting its second open-call photography exhibition: Snapped-2026, an exhibition of broad photographic creativity. A jury process will select up to 50 images for physical display as prints in the Art Bias gallery and another up to 50 images for electronic display on the Art Bias website. Jurors will provide image feedback, and award monetary prizes of $100, $75, and $50 for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place images respectively in each category and Honorable Mention awards as appropriate. The Snapped-2026 Opening Reception will be on the afternoon of August 2, 2026 in the Art Bias gallery in San Carlos, CA.
This juried photography exhibition will be on display August 2 - 27, 2026 in Studio 114, the Art Bias gallery, in San Carlos California. Art Bias, an artist’s collective (https://artbias.org) since 1993, was voted the Best Art Gallery in San Mateo Area, California in 2024 & 2025. Art Bias hosts and displays monthly exhibitions of a broad variety of art, often focused on community development, in our gallery Studio #114. Snapped-2026 is our second open-call exhibition specifically focused on images captured with a digital photo sensor and/or analog film and printed either digitally or with other analog processes. The theme is open to the photographer’s broad interpretation of fine art photography.
Four categories of entry (Black & White, Color, Film captured, and Youth [18 years of age and under]) will each be individually juried with awards announcing the top 3 images in each category. The exhibition competition is open to all photographers internationally, and selected artwork will be invited to be displayed in the Art Bias Studio 114 gallery and/or on the Art Bias website. Please note: While artists from any geographic location are invited to apply, all printed artwork for display in the gallery must be hand delivered, as there is no receiving or shipping department available at Art Bias.
THE JURY FOR SNAPPED-2026
Natalie Saprykina is a Bay Area–based art advisor and founder of White on White Gallery, a nomadic gallery offering access to emerging and mid-career artists through private exhibitions and curated collector programs. She works closely with collectors to build thoughtful, lasting relationships with art, while supporting artists in a talent agent–like role.
Michael Endicott has been a full time San Francisco Bay area photographer since 2013. His primary focus is on the interaction between humans and nature. His pieces are layered stories with room for the viewer to uniquely interpret. Light, shadows, textures and colors are what catch his eye and then serve as the tools for his sculptural process. Most recently his abstract realism was part of shows in the de Young Museum and the Triton Museum of Art. He was the Director of Edge of Frame Gallery in San Francisco 2016 - 2020.
