HUGO RIVERA GALLERY is thrilled to announce a call for submissions for our upcoming exhibition, "Styles in Harmony" 

 "Styles in Harmony" is an exhibition that brings together diverse artistic approaches, techniques, and mediums to create a visually cohesive and balanced experience. It highlights how disparate art forms—such as abstract and figurative, or traditional and modern—can coexist, complement one another, and resonate together!

This exhibition will create something very refreshing, highlighting the beauty of artistic diversity such as traditional, modern, and abstract within a cohesive, balanced space.

It unites disparate techniques and thematic elements, emphasizing how contrasting forms can coexist, resulting in a unified visual experience for the viewer.

This exhibition celebrates the beauty found in unexpected connections, highlighting how diverse artistic styles can complement each other".

About Hugo Rivera Gallery

Hugo Rivera Gallery located in Downtown Laguna Beach California, has been a cornerstone of the local art community since it first opened its doors in 2013. With over 12 years in business, the gallery has earned a strong reputation as a premier destination for both emerging and established artists to showcase their work.

Application Requirements

Submissions are open to all artists 18 years and older, established and emerging artists.

Mediums: Open to any medium

Entry fee includes First image $35.00               $5.00 for any additional image 

Maximum of 7 images

All work must be delivered by June 2nd, 2026, at the latest.

Please note that artists invited to exhibit at Hugo Rivera Gallery must ensure their artwork arrives at the gallery no later than Tuesday June 2nd. At the conclusion of the exhibition on June 28, all works must be picked up promptly. Artwork not collected after this date will incur a $5 per day storage fee. If the gallery does not receive a response from the artist within one month, the artwork will be donated to a nonprofit organization.

SHIPPING/DELIVERY OF ARTWORK:

The artist is responsible for the cost of shipping or mailing artwork to and from Hugo Rivera Gallery using UPS, Fed-X or USPS. A return shipping label and return postage must be included with the artwork or work will not be accepted. Artwork may also be hand-delivered to and picked up from Hugo Rivera Gallery on the appropriate dates during the scheduled times.

 

Eligibility Criteria

SPECIFICATIONS:
The exhibition will consist of two-dimensional work in all media. Wall pieces must be wired for hanging and no larger than 24″ W X 30″ H (Dimensions include framing and mounting). Accepted work cannot be substituted and must be available for the duration of the exhibit. Please contact The Gallery with questions about shipping concerns before you apply.

SUBMISSION:
Submit one to seven JPG or JPEG digital images. 
File dimensions: 1200 pixels or greater on the longest side
File size: 5 MB maximum
You are welcome to send more than one angle or a close-up image of any work, however, please keep in mind that we only display 1 image per artwork.

For 2D works please crop the picture to be of the ARTWORK ONLY. Use a photo-editing app, if necessary, to remove excess shadows/highlights/blurriness/etc.

ACCEPTED ARTWORK must be delivered clean, framed, wired and ready to hang. Work to hang on the wall must be fitted with framing wire. Paint and any other materials must be dry. Each artwork must be clearly labeled on the back of the piece with the following information: Artist’s name, measurements, and title of the work.
