Application Requirements

–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

Artwork Requirements: Entries must be the artist's original artwork and must not be a copy of another artist's work (including photography). Entries must have been created in years 2021-2026, and must not have been exhibited in a previous Plano Art Association 125 Show. AI generated entries are prohibited.

Submitted images of 2D artwork should not show the mat and frame unless they are integral parts of the 2D artwork itself. An image of a grouping of 2D works submitted as a single entry should show the pieces arranged in their preferred placement and include the mats and frames, if applicable.

Each artwork must be labeled on the back with the artist's name, phone number, the title of the artwork, its category, and price; put NFS if not for sale.

Artwork must be family friendly. PAA reserves the right to reject an entry, even at the point of delivery for display.

Size Requirements: 2D entries must not exceed 60" in width and 84" in length (including frame). A grouping of 2, 3, or 4 related 2D works submitted as one 2D entry must also meet this size requirement. 3D entries must be able to fit through a standard 36" doorway and weigh a maximum of 200 pounds. Contact PAA at info@planoartassociation.org if you want to request a waiver.

Display: Wall-hanging artwork must be delivered ready to hang with D-rings and wire. Artwork not ready to hang or equipped with only saw-tooth hangers will not be accepted. Plexiglass is preferred on framed, fragile media except for charcoal and pastels, which require glass. For 3D art, please advise if you intend to use one of the gallery's pedestals or if you will provide one for your piece. Artwork selected and installed must remain in the exhibit until the exhibit ends, including artwork sold during the show.
