The Garden of Childhood / International Open Call

There is a place we never completely leave.
A secret inner landscape made of memories, sensations, fragments of light, forgotten dreams, summer afternoons, fears, tenderness, imagination, freedom, and wonder.

That place is the garden of childhood.

The Garden of Childhood is an international online exhibition inviting artists to explore the emotional, symbolic, and poetic territory of childhood through their own artistic language.

This exhibition is not about illustrating childhood literally. It is about capturing its essence. The feeling of innocence before the world became structured. The magic of discovery. The vulnerability of becoming. The imaginary worlds we built to survive, dream, escape, or heal.

Each artist carries a different garden within them.
For some, it may bloom with joy and color.
For others, it may hold nostalgia, silence, mystery, resilience, or transformation.

We invite oil painters, acrylic artists, sculptors, mixed media artists, textile artists, photographers, installation artists, ceramic artists, digital artists, and creators of all disciplines to share works inspired by their own interpretation of childhood — personal or universal, abstract or figurative, intimate or expansive.

We are looking for works that evoke emotion, memory, imagination, softness, spontaneity, freedom, fantasy, fragility, playfulness, healing, or inner transformation.

This exhibition celebrates the child within us all — the one who still dreams, still feels deeply, still searches for beauty, and still remembers how to see the world with wonder.

Because no matter who we become,
we all carry the garden of our childhood inside us.

This exhibition seeks work that moves beyond surface aesthetics — pieces that carry intention, emotional depth, technical strength, and a distinctive artistic voice. We are looking for images that feel necessary. Work that resonates. Work that speaks.

ABOUT THE EXHIBITION

We welcome your interpretation if you create abstract masterpieces, surreal dreamscapes, or hyperrealistic scenes!

Artworks will be judged based on creativity, originality, quality of work, composition, and overall artistic ability.

-  Selected artworks (up to 3 per applicant) will be exhibited in an international online group exhibition organized by Palm Art Gallery.

- Other awards include a lifelong permanent link to boost artists’ online visibility and intensive exposure for selected artists to showcase their artworks to art enthusiasts, experts, and art collectors.

You can enter this competition with a Single Entry of:

• Up to three art pieces for $32, if you wish to submit only one, submit it 3 times in order to meet the minimum requirement.
• Up to 15 additional art pieces  at $10 each)

Exhibiting artists will be selected based on the quality of their single entry and the overall quality of their work. Exhibiting artists will be announced at the end of June. If you are chosen for this exhibition, details will be provided via email.

Application Requirements

• For artwork of ALL MEDIUMS, STYLES
• For artists from ALL LOCATIONS
• For Artists of ALL CAREER LEVELS
• Open to all visual artists worldwide.

Eligibility Criteria

Categories: Original artworks in 2D and 3D media, including painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, digital art, and mixed media.

Styles: All styles are accepted, including abstract and representational.

Size: No size limit.

Creation Year: No limit,

Originality: Artworks must be entirely the entrant’s work without supervision. No copies or derivatives of other works.

Rights: Artists must have all rights to present and publish their artworks internationally.

Photo Requirements: Only the artwork should be visible (no frames or extraneous backgrounds).

Number of Artworks: Up to 9 original pieces can be submitted.

Other Restrictions: Artworks containing pornographic, violent, racist, or religiously hateful content are not admissible.

Selected Artworks: The chosen pieces will be showcased in our elegant, international online group exhibition, hosted by Palm Art Gallery.

Artwork Sales: Selected artworks will be available for purchase through the exhibition’s online link. If your artwork is not for sale, please specify it IN CAPITAL letters at the beginning of the artwork description.

Life-long Links: Exhibition links and artist pages will remain active indefinitely, enhancing the online visibility of the selected artists. The buy button will be removed if the artwork is sold somewhere else
