CALL FOR ART-  2nd Biennial Regional Juried Exhibition at the Brandenburg Art Gallery on the campus of Olivet Nazarene University. The goal of this exhibition is to showcase midwestern artists residing in Illinois and its surrounding states.  Open to any  subject.

ENTRY DEADLINE: Entries due July 15th.

EXHIBITION DATES: October 5th through November 4th, 2016

ELIGIBILITY:  Any upcoming or established artists residing in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Iowa, Missouri or Kentucky are elligable to submit 1-2, Two-Dimensional or Three-Dimensional works of art for consideration. 2D Work should not exceed 4’x 6’.  3D works that do not require a pedestal should be no larger than 3’ width, 5’ in length or height. 3D works that require a pedestal should be no larger than 12" width, 12" length, and 24" height.  All paintings, drawings, ceramics, sculpture and digital media must be created within the last 3 years are elligible for submission. PLEASE NOTE THE GALLERY IS EQUIPED WITH A TRACK AND WIRE HANGING SYSTEM and the work should be wired.  NO SAWTOOTH. Please include detailed information with each image including title, medium, dimensions/time, date completed, etc as well as a brief description (1-3 sentences) of the work.

TIMELINE:  Submissions due July 15, 2016 Notifications sent by August 1st. Drop off dates will be Sept. 30th, Oct. 1st, and 2nd from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  All shipped work must be received by Sept. 30th. Exhibtion dates October 5th through Nobember 4th, 2016. Exhibitied works must be picked up by November 5th, 6th, 7th from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.. Shipped artwork MUST HAVE RETURN POSTAGE LABEL and will be shipped back within two weeks after the exhibition.

OPENING RECPTION/AWARDS CEREMONY: Opening Reception Friday, October 14th, 2016 6-8pm
AWARDS: first $300 | second $150 | third $75

Joanne Aono’s solo and two person exhibitions include Firecat, Images, Lee Dulgar, South Shore Arts, and Eyeporium Galleries; as well as group shows at the Illinois State Museums, Rockford Art Museum, Art Chicago International, and the Evanston, Riverside, and Beverly Art Centers. She has received City of Chicago Arts grants and a fellowship residency at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. Joanne Aono’s art has been reviewed in publications such as Hyperallergic, ArtLetter, Northwest Indiana Times, and the Huffington Post. In addition, she is on the Riverside Arts Center's Exhibition Committee and runs the alternative art project, Cultivator - Chicago art exhibitions & farm projects.
