The 2015 CVG Show
A juried art competition with over $9,500 in cash & purchase awards for artists in Washington State to be held at Collective Visions Gallery of Bremerton, Washington.  
Collective Visions Gallery announces the Eighth Annual CVG Show, a juried art competition for Photo/digital, Two-dimensional, and Three-dimensional art.  All Washington State artists are invited to submit work; $9,500 in cash and purchase prizes will be awarded for winners in several categories as listed below.

November 17 (Monday), 2014: Entry deadline - 12 Midnight                                              
December 31, 2014: Deadline for notifications to artists
January 2 to January 17: Shipped work accepted
January 17 & 18 (Saturday and Sunday): Hand deliveries, 1 to 5 pm
January 24 (Saturday): Show opens at 1pm
                   Reception, awards ceremony and Juror’s talk: 5 to 7:15pm, Admiral Theatre
January 25, (Sunday), 1 to 5 pm: Awards posted, Sunday gallery hours begin
February 27 (Friday), 7 pm:  Peoples' Choice Award and  Guest Art Critic's Lecture
February 28, (Saturday): exhibition closes at 5 pm
ARTISTS PICK UP WORK
March 1, (Sunday), Artists pick up work, 1 to 5 p.m. There will be a $20.00 charge for art left more than 5 days.  Early pick-up of art is not permitted.  Please do not ask.   Shipped work will be sent by March 7, 2015.

ABOUT THE JUROR, Greg Robinson
Greg Robinson is the executive director and curator of Washington State’s newest art museum - Bainbridge Island Museum of Art (BIMA), which opened June 2013.  Previously he was executive director of the Museum of Northwest Art in La Conner WA, director of William Traver Gallery in Tacoma; and executive director of Pratt Fine Arts Center in Seattle.
Greg has participated in numerous jury processes for exhibitions and awards, and has served on the Betty Bowen Award Committee of Seattle Art Museum for 13 years.  He is originally from Seattle and holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from New York University.

E L I G I B I L I T Y
All artists must be 18 years of age or older and have their primary residence in Washington State. Entries must be original, entirely the work of the entrant and executed within the last three years (since 1/1/11) and without the supervision of an instructor. Copies of existing artworks not eligible.
ENTRY FEE: $45.00; LIMIT 3 ART WORKS (with up to two views of each permitted.)
Preferred entry method: online through CaFE (www.callforentry.org).
Mail in method: For an additional fee of $15 those not wishing to use the online system may enter by mailing jpeg images on a CD to The CVG Show, 331 Pacific Avenue, Bremerton, WA 98337.
CONDITIONS
A maximum of THREE entries per artist is permitted.  Artists may enter more than one category. Two-dimensional work may not exceed 8 feet in its longest dimension nor weigh more than 75 lbs. Two views of Three-dimensional work are permitted.  Three-dimensional work must fit within a 4 x 4 x 8 foot space and weigh less than 400 lbs.  All two-dimensional works on paper must be under glass or Plexiglas.  Shipped work must use Plexiglas. All work must be ready for presentation with the appropriate framing, hanging wires and the like.  Artists may not substitute another work for an accepted work, alter a work or change the sales price, nor withdraw a work after it has been accepted.   All work must be for sale.   Early pickup of artwork is not permitted.   Collective Visions Gallery reserves the right to refuse any entry which does not match the images submitted or meet the criteria enumerated here.
ACCEPTED WORKS
Artworks can be hand delivered or shipped.  Shipping instructions will be included in the notification e-mail letter. The artist entrant will be responsible for all shipping charges both directions.  Every precaution will be taken to handle artwork with the utmost care.  However, neither Collective Visions Gallery nor the co-sponsors of the exhibition will be responsible for damage or loss from any cause.
NOTIFICATION
Notification of accepted or non-accepted work will be via e-mail no later than December 31, 2014.  IMPORTANT, CHECK YOUR JUNK MAIL IF YOU HAVE NOT RECIEVED A NOTICE.     Still no notice?  E-mail anewberg@comcast.net or call 360 551 7526 (leave no voice mail, text OK).
 
SALES
All work must be for sale. Collective Visions Gallery will retain a 33% commission on all sales.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Collective Visions Gallery reserves the right to photograph entries for purposes of publicity, documentation, education, and promotion.
LIABILITY
Art works will be insured for liability while at Collective Visions Gallery. However, the construction and design of the work must not present a hazard to the public or gallery staff.
LEGAL AGREEMENT
All artists must be 18 years of age or older and reside in Washington State.  Submission of entry constitutes an agreement on the part of the artist to comply with all of the conditions and terms contained in this prospectus.  No work accepted into this agreement may be withdrawn prior to the close of the exhibition. All decisions of the Exhibition Chair are final.
REFUNDS WILL NOT BE GRANTED TO APPLICANTS WHO ARE NOT IN COMPLIANCE WITH THIS AGREEMENT
ABOUT CVG
Collective Visions Gallery (aka CVG) is an artist-owned and operated gallery representing over 25 Puget Sound artists working in a variety of 2D and 3D modes and media in contemporary, abstract, and traditional styles. The Gallery is located in the heart of downtown Bremerton. Gallery programs include feature, solo, and two person exhibits by member artists; ongoing display of works by all the member artists; workshops, lectures and art forums, exhibitions by guest artists, and an annual statewide juried exhibit.
