ELIGIBILITY AND SUBMISSIONS
• Any professional or amateur artist or designer is eligible to apply.
• Preference will be given to local artists/designers living within 50 miles of the floodwall.
• Entries may be submitted by individuals, groups, classes or teams.
• Interviews with applicants may be scheduled and considered in addition to design submission.
• Submissions must include the following;
o Complete contact information
o A summary of the artist or team’s experience and/or education
o Up to four images of the proposed design from different vantage points, one of which must be rendered to scale.
• Submissions are free and open to the public
• Applicants may submit up to three separate designs.

Anonymous questions and responses will be posted at www.downtowndayton.org. Questions submitted 48 before the submission deadline will be addressed. Technical questions about the online submissions process should be addressed to the pmauk@daytonvisualarts.org or by calling Dayton Visual Arts Center at (937)224.3822.
CONTRACTUAL INFORMATION
The Miami Conservancy District (MCD), as owner of the floodwall may:
• Require artists to sign a statement verifying the originality of the design.
• Establish a contract between the Design/Install Team and The Miami Conservancy District.
• Reserve the right to remove, replace, or repair the work as necessary.
• Reserve the right to own submission models or designs selected for implementation. Alternatively, may choose to retain all such designs until the project is complete.
• Release submission documents subject to Ohio’s Open Records law.
• Reserve the right to refuse any and all proposed designs and/or initiate an alternate selection process.
