IN ORDER TO SUBMIT TO EXPOSURE: • You must be a current member of the Photographic Resource Center through July 31, 2015 in order to enter Exposure 2015. Membership payment is processed through the PRC website/Click & Pledge (http://www.bu.edu/prc/individual.htm). PRC Board members are not eligible to apply. • Entries must be submitted digitally via the CaFÉ website and payment of the $40 entry fee must be processed through CaFÉ. Although the entry must be a digital representation, the artwork itself may exist in another medium, such as a print on paper or one or more physical objects. The CaFÉ Website is the exclusive method of entry; do not send application fees or artwork to the PRC. • Follow all instructions provided by CaFÉ for preparing your images, statement, resume, etc. Complete guidelines can be found here: https://www.callforentry.org/image_prep.phtml. Incorrectly formatted or corrupted files will not be reviewed. • If the juror selects you to participate in EXPOSURE, your framed or ready-to-be hung photographs must be available for display during the time scheduled for the exhibition, June 18 – July 26, 2015 (with work due to the PRC the first two weeks in June). Please only submit works that can be shown. • You are required to adhere to all published schedules, specifications, and guidelines. IF YOU ARE SELECTED TO PARTICIPATE: • Selected and non-selected artists will be notified through CaFÉ via email. We expect notifications to go out in late April or early to mid May. No phone calls please. • Selected artists are responsible for packing (in a reusable container) and arranging and paying for the shipping and transit insurance of works to AND from the PRC in a timely manner. We recommend FedEX (over UPS) as we can easily arrange for drop off and pick up. • Selected artists must furnish the work framed or "ready-to-hang." Artists must be available to provide help with unique installations and/or supply any special hardware and/or specific instructions if required for proper installation. The PRC reserves the right to refuse works whose quality is not reflected in the submission materials and will not hang works that are defective. • Artists retain copyright of their images. By entering this juried opportunity, you agree, if selected, to allow the PRC to utilize selected images for promotional and press purposes in conjunction with the exhibition, both online and in print. • The PRC requests 30% commission from any work sold during the exhibition. A loan form agreement will be sent once selected and works finalized. • The PRC will insure works while on the premises. Unframed works, raw prints, or other special installations are handled on a case-by-case basis for insurance purposes. • You are encouraged, but not required, to attend the opening reception with the juror (TBD, but most likely Thursday, June 18th or June 25th, 5:30-8pm). There will also be an educational/professionally-oriented program by the juror sometime during the run of the show.
