nPrintAustin invites you to enter our 3rd annual juried national exhibition “ The Contemporary Print” to be held at O2 Gallery at Flatbed Press Headquarters during PrintAustin 2016.
n
nThe Contemporary Print exhibition will be a survey of the traditions and the innovations of contemporary printmaking happening today. While non-traditional or digital output is accepted as a print element, submissions must utilize traditional print media as their primary technique including: Lithography, Relief, Intaglio, Silkscreen, and Monotype.
n
nJUROR We are excited to announce our show juror Mary Heathcott is the Executive Director of Blue Star Contemporary Art Museum, where she heads its exhibition and educational programs, guided by the bold mission “to inspire the creative genius in us all.” Prior to Blue Star, Heathcott was the Deputy Director at Artpace San Antonio, an international artist-in-residence program that has attracted more than 100 renowned artists and guest curators from around the world to explore new directions in their work and provided a platform for exhibitions and education programs that further extend contemporary art dialogue. As Artpace’s Interim Managing Director from 2011-2013, she organized exhibitions for the Hudson Show(Room) and Window Works galleries, as well as provided strategic leadership for the organization’s operations.
nHeathcott came to Artpace in 2006, after working for the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, and completing her Master’s degree in the Humanities from the University of Chicago in 2001.

nELIGIBILITY Open to artists 18 years and older residing in the United States. Any 2-D or 3-D work including ceramics, sculpture, mixed media and artists’ books that uses printmaking as the sole or major technique in its execution. Work cannot exceed
n72 inches in any direction. No traditional or digital photography.

n*** Works that have exhibited in past “The Contemporary Print” exhibitions are not eligible to be considered for this year’s entry. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us provide a fresh and current survey of Printmaking today.

nCASH AWARDS
n1st Prize: $400 2nd Prize: $300 3rd Prize: $200

nFEES $35 for up to 3 entries; $10 for each additional entry. Payment via credit card using PayPal is preferred. You may also pay using check or payable to PrintAustin mailed to 916 Springdale Road, Bldg. 1, Suite 218, Austin Texas 78702. Payment must be received by entry deadline.
