The applicant certifies that the information contained in the application, including all supporting documents and attachments, is true and correct to the best of his or her knowledge. Any fraudulent statement made in the application will be grounds for rejecting the application. The applicant also understands that submitting to this Call for Entries constitutes an agreement with all conditions set forth in this prospectus. n nBy submitting an application, artists grant the Center for Photography at Woodstock permission to reproduce their artwork for standard nonprofit publicity and educational purposes, and the applicant assures that all copyright holders have consented to the submission and use of images for any multimedia, print or digital publications, presentations, and online archive. n nThe Center for Photography at Woodstock reserves the right alter any aspect of the selection process or overall project in any way for its own convenience at any time. This Call for Entries does not constitute either an expressed or implied contract and these provisions are subject to change. n nAccepted artists will be required to sign an agreement with The Center for Photography at Woodstock outlining the following terms: n nPROMOTION, & INSURANCE: CPW is responsible for mounting the exhibition, promoting in local and national press, producing and sending electronic announcements, and hosting the opening reception. Your work will be insured by CPW from the time it leaves your possession until its return for its replacement value but no more than gallery sale price. n nACCOMMODATIONS: While we are unable to guarantee accommodations, CPW will work to provide accommodations through a hospitality sponsor at a high discount or at no or little expense to all exhibiting artists who are able to attend the opening reception. Please let us know 3-4 weeks in advance if you plan on attending to allow us time to book your reservation. n nSHIPPING: The artist is responsible for round trip shipping. Please make clear return shipping and insurance instructions by including a prepaid return address card or a self-addressed, stamped envelope with the correct amount of return postage and/or a check for a selected mail carrier enclosed. Pack your artwork carefully so that it is not damaged in shipping. We advise that you send work in one of the following ways A) a reusable, sturdy cardboard shipping box filled with a minimum of 2-3” of padding (bubble wrap/peanuts, etc) around all sides with the work(s) securely protected, especially the corners. B) a wooden crate. C) a hard shipping portfolio case. Send work ready for display – we are not responsible for matting or framing. If shipping prints framed in glass, use low adhesive tape over glass to protect the print during shipping. CPW is not responsible for damage incurred via shipping if the damage is determined to be the fault of poor packaging by the artist. n nCOMMISSION: Exhibited work will be available for sale while on display. CPW will retain a 25% commission on works sold. n nIMAGE REPRODUCTION USE: CPW holds the right to use reproductions of images featured in your exhibition solely for the purpose of promotion of your show and CPW’s education and publication programs, including for our website. CPW retains full rights to edit written and visual material (this does not mean “censor”) n nFUNDING: Due to the nature of CPW’s not-for-profit status, full program funding is contingent on federal and state support. CPW reserves the right to re-negotiate fees if funding does not meet budget expectations. n nEXHIBITION: In the rare case that selected pieces do not reasonably meet the quality of the digital files, CPW reserves the right to take works out of the exhibition. n nALL MATERIALS ARE DUE AT CPW BY CONTRACT DUE DATES. n nNO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED FOR ENTRY OR ADDITIONAL FEES.
