Eligibility The competition is open to photographers 18 years of age or older, excluding members of fotofoto gallery. Image capture must have been made with the camera on your phone. Any phone!
Submissions All entries must be submitted via the CaFE system, mail-in entries will not be considered. Images must conform to CaFE formatting standards, instructions can be found in the CaFE help section.There is no theme for this show - just send us your finest phone images. Apply apps, edit on your computer or just send the capture from your camera roll.
For Accepted Entries Approximately 30 photographs will be chosen for a three week exhibition in August 2016. Upon completion of the jury process, images will be printed by fotofoto gallery. No need for you to print, frame or ship your work. The exhibition will be installed salon-style in our beautiful gallery space.
About Us fotofoto gallery was formed in 2003 by a group of fine art photographers desiring to create a center where photographic visions could be exchanged. Now in our thirteenth year, fotofoto gallery continues to be a place for the photographic community and students to view a wide range of photographic processes including traditional black and white, digital, experimental and alternative processes. The gallery hosts twelve exhibitions each year and reaches out to the community by providing invitational shows, workshops and lectures. The gallery is located in the heart of Huntington, New York and is open on weekends and by appointment. We are a 501(c)3 charitable organization.
Fees and Deadlines $40/5 images. Images 6 - 15 may be submitted for an additional charge of $5 per image. Deadline for submission is midnight (standard mountain time) on June 12th, 2016. Notifications on June 28th by email. Exhibition dates are August 3 - 27. Reception Saturday August 6, 2016 from 5 - 7pm.
About the Juror Karen Klinedinst is a landscape photographer from Baltimore. Since 2011, she’s has been using her iPhone and iPad exclusively to photograph and express the landscape. Her landscape iPhoneography has been exhibited widely, including the Center for Fine Art Photography, Soho Photo Gallery, and the Biggs Museum of American Art. She was awarded an Honorable Mention from the 2015 Mobile Photography Awards. She teaches iPhone Photography workshops at Baltimore’s Creative Alliance, Chestertown RiverArts Gallery, Adkins Arboretum and at her Baltimore studio. Awards Ms. Klinedinst will select 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. $200/1st place, $100/2nd place, and $50/3rd place.
