The Think 360 Arts Online Roster of Teaching Artists is a resource for the public available on the Think 360 Arts website. The roster is accessed by schools, community organizations, and individuals interested in arts integration programs for school-age students. Featured artists live in Colorado and are passionate about sharing their art and working with students in pre-K through higher education. The roster is organized by discipline and by program type.
Once accepted to the roster, teaching artists become independent contractors of Think 360 Arts and are eligible to work in schools and other educational settings, although there is no guarantee of work. Think 360 Arts reserves the right to determine an artist’s ongoing inclusion in the directory based on work history and evaluations.

Think 360 Arts provides training and professional development for teaching artists on a variety of relevant topics to working in educational settings. New roster artists are expected to participate in these trainings as much as possible.

Selection Process
Artists are reviewed for both artistic quality and educational appropriateness.  Artists specify their artistic discipline in the application, and each applicant may submit only one application. Please note: there are a limited number of openings in each discipline, and the process is highly competitive.

First Review: Artistic quality and creative ability based on the work that is submitted.
Applicants submit a digital portfolio of their work or a video audition for review. Visual artists: please submit at least 6 examples of your own work as an artist. You may also submit one or two additional pieces that demonstrate collaboration with students, but that is not required. Think 360 Arts conducts panel reviews in each specific discipline. Work that is submitted need not be appropriate in a school setting; this is an adult panel reviewing professional work.

Second Review: Appropriateness for educational settings, demonstrated by communicating the creative process, experience working with students, and ideas for innovative workshops for teachers and students in all grade levels that connect to other content areas, such as literacy, social studies, science, etc.

The second review entails an in-person interview with questions focusing on the artistic process, how the artist envisions him/herself working in the school setting, and possible workshop ideas. The panelists for the second review may be composed of Think 360 Arts staff, educators who have had experiences with artists in schools, and  teaching artists from the current directory.

Submission requirements:
1. Digital portfolio or link to video audition (creative writing candidates will be contacted so they can email their submissions)
2. Personal statement (response to three questions)
3. Resume or CV
4. Two letters of support
5. A non-refundable application fee of $35.
Completed applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis within 8 weeks of application submission date.
