The artists selected will be announced on April 15th, 2017.

Studios and Accommodations:

Each artist will be assigned his or her own house in which to live and work for the length of the residency. Artists may choose to work at the JTHAR dedicated studio space - a large shared studio space divided by moveable walls depending on the artists’ needs.
Some of the assigned houses are located near the west entrance of Joshua Tree National Park, others are in the areas of Pipes Canyon and Flamingo Heights.

Please refer to our website for examples of houses. www.jthar.com

*Please note that the summer months can be very hot in the high desert. If you are adverse to heat, this may not be the program for you. All houses are equipped with some form of cooling unit.

Artists will individually design the workshop in relation to their practice. Workshops will take place around the 3rd or 4th week of the residency period, scheduled with the artist.
