1. By submitting any entry, the applicant agrees that he or she has read all legal requirements and agrees to be bound by them. All entries must be made within the boundaries of the areas described in the accompanying description of competition. All photographs that include a recognizable person must be accompanied by legally sufficient releases authorizing the use of that person's image for the purposes set out here. Photographs that depict recognizable persons in an unfair or unflattering light, or which might be deemed as causing negligent infliction of emotional distress upon such person, will be excluded and disqualified. People should be depicted in a voluntary and respectful manner. 2. All photographs must be suitable for display in public areas frequented by families with young children. Adult-only images will be rejected. 3. All photographs must be usable for promotional purposed by the sponsors ARTSpace Alaska, the City of Soldotna and the Soldotna Chamber of Commerce in its promotional literature. 4. High artistic merit is strongly suggested for each entered image. 5. Any applicant who is awarded a monetary prize in this competition hereby grants sponsors ARTSpace, City of Soldotna and Soldotna Chamber of Commerce an irrevocable non-exclusive license, without the need for further permission or payment, to use of all images submitted by applicant in any of the sponsors' printed and electronic promotional materials, such as brochures, ads, web sites and Facebook pages and as well as reproductions displayed in public venues such as the Soldotna's Art Park and events. 6. All decisions are final and discretionary: All decisions relating to these Contests, including eligibility, award of prizes, and decisions to include or exclude individual images are final, and non-justiciable. All decisions are made at the sole discretion of the jurors, the sponsors and its employees, principals, and officers. No liability shall pertain to any person for any decision or disqualification and applicants agree to hold same harmless from any liability. 7. This contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, whether or not stated here. 8. High technical quality is strongly desired and images which do not meet minimum acceptable technical requirements for publication and enlargement may be disqualified at the decision of the jurors. 9. High quality images with a native resolution of at least 4000 pixels along the longest dimension must be made available to the sponsors upon request. 10. Entry must be the original work of the entrant. The entrant in making the submission certifies that the entrant is a US resident, that the photographs were taken within the bounds of the greater Soldotna area, and the applicant is the sole owner of the copyright of such entry. 11. The applicant retains all copyright except for the non-exclusive use license described above. 12. Sponsors will provide appropriate attribution credit for applicants whose images are used. 13. Sponsors may crop or otherwise alter or enhance images to fit publication and promotional needs. 14. By entering, entrant agrees (i) to be bound by the terms of these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and judges, which are final and binding in all respects and made in the sole discretion of Sponsor and jurors, and, (ii) to hold jurors, sponsors, and their employees, officers and principals (collectively, the Released Parties"), harmless against any and all claims and liability arising, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, out of or in connection with participation in this Contest, acceptance and use of any prize, or Released Parties' use, reproduction and distribution of any of the rights granted herein. 15. Sponsors reserve the right to cancel, terminate or modify the contests in their sole discretion and for any commercially reasonable reason. Any attempt to intervene, tamper with, or otherwise affect the integrity of the contest and jurying process shall result in immediate disqualification.
