Stephen F. Austin State University (SFA) in Nacogdoches, Texas, is accepting
submissions from sculptors for the third installation of Sculpture For All,
a biennial outdoor exhibition and competition. Up to ten works will be
selected for display on the SFA campus, which includes one of the largest
Azalea gardens in the nation. A stipend of up to $1000 will be awarded to
each of the artists chosen. Additional cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd
places will be awarded.
Size Limitations: No work can exceed 15 feet in height or weigh more than
1,000 pounds, due to equipment limitations. If you would like to enter a
larger piece and are able to provide your own equipment for installation,
please contact Jeffie Brewer, sculpture professor at SFA, for authorization
prior to submission at brewerjeffe@sfasu.edu.
Electronic submission is required: Submit your entry online at
https://www.callforentry.org/. A non-refundable submission fee of $15 allows
each artist to submit up to three entries. The entry fee must be paid online
via credit card at the time of submission. Each artist must submit a maximum
of three digital photographs detailing alternate views for each entry.
Images must be in jpeg format. Submissions must include: the title, size and
materials used; an explanatory statement (approximately 100 words) for each
sculpture submitted; a short biography (100 words or less in paragraph
form, i.e. not a resume); your website URL (if applicable); and your contact
information (email address, mailing address and telephone number).
Dates: Entries must be submitted by midnight on January 28, 2017. Sculpture
installation will take place February-March 2017. Evening reception date
TBA. Artists will be notified no later than January 31st, 2017, if their
work has been selected.
