Feral Factory Ltd., in partnership with Denver’s River North Art District (RiNo), is seeking visual art which explores cities, city life, and urbanism. The show will take place at the Crash exhibition space in RiNo, and will display more than one hundred pieces in rotation. This is an international call to all visual artists 18+, for artwork which celebrates and critiques cities and city life.

During the exhibition, Feral Factory will host three highly publicized events, four salons, multiple receptions, and four First Fridays at the show. Additionally, there will be workshops, talks, and other events bringing the community, and buyers, to the exhibition. The gallery will hold viewing hours and appointments, and we are working with the award-winning art advisors, NINE dot ARTS, to promote sales.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

• All submissions must be made online via CAFÉ at www.callforentry.org
• A minimum of (3) pieces per submission.
• Each additional piece beyond (3) requires a $10 entry fee.
• Work must have been completed in the last five years (2012 – present).
• Submissions may include a maximum of (10) images.
• The work must embody the subject matter of cities, urbanism, and city life, broadly defined. If you believe your work meets this criterion, it probably does.
• Accepted 2-D work must be framed and ready to hang.
• All artwork entered must be for sale. The artist receives 60% of the retail sale price.
• Sale proceeds will be paid to the artist within 30 days of the end of the exhibition.
• By submitting artwork, the artist agrees that images of selected artwork and the submitted text can be used by Feral Factory Ltd. for promotions and publications. Low resolution images (smaller than 300 dpi) are not guaranteed to be included in the printed promotional materials associated with the exhibit.
• Accepted works must be received no later than March 24th, 2017.

ACCEPTED ENTRIES

• Artists will be notified of their selection via email no later than March 3rd, 2017
• Shipping and shipping-insurance costs to and from the gallery are the responsibility of the artist.
• After acceptence, in lieu of shipping, works may be delivered to the exhibition by the artist, in person.
• Shipping or delivery instructions will be sent to accepted artists at the time of notification of acceptance.
• Feral Factory Ltd. reserves the right not to exhibit any piece that does not reasonably match the work presented in the entry, which arrives damaged, is not properly prepared for exhibition, or is deemed too fragile for effective display.
• Wired pieces only. No sawtooth hangers. No plastic frames. Artwork that does not meet specifications may be excluded at curators’ discretion.

ABOUT THE JURORS
Tracy Weil is a Co-Founder and Creative Director of Denver’s River North Art District, and his studio is Weilworks, which boasts three stories of exhibition spaces. Weil is a successful public artist, a stalwart leader in the arts community, and a grounding presence throughout Denver's art scene. 

Louise Mortarano is the Executive Director of the RedLine Contemporary Art Center. RedLine fosters education and engagement between artists and communities to create positive social change, and it has served tens of thousands of visitors and program participants since opening in 2008. 

Martha Weidmann is Co-Founder and CEO of NINE dot ARTS. She is a guiding force in shaping the company’s unique approach to art advising and, together with her partner, Molly Casey, has helped to set the standard in how businesses and artists connect. Martha’s major projects include The Colorado Convention Center, The Crawford Hotel at Denver Union Station and the Town of Avon.

Shana Cordon is a Co-Founder of Feral Factory Ltd., which curates art experiences, conversations, and happenings in the United States, Canada, and Europe. Drawing from a warehouse of exceptional talent in the arts, business, and community, Feral Factory forges wildly creative alliances and productions. As a longtime photographer, stage performer, and producer, Shana brings life to a broad spectrum of the arts.

John Barbour is the other Co-Founder of Feral Factory Ltd. Coming from a background in architecture and design, John has an eye for how the details of production, exhibition, and spectacle combine to create successful events. Also an academic, John leads Feral Factory's salon series.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR LOSS AND DAMAGE
Artwork is insured for 60% of its retail value against theft or total loss while on premises. Works may be excluded if their stated value exceeds coverage limits or if deemed too fragile to exhibit.

FREIGHT AND INSURANCE
The artist is responsible for freight and insurance on the work to and from Feral Factory Ltd. When you ship your piece(s) for the exhibit, you must also include a pre-paid UPS or FedEx return shipping label for the return shipping of your piece(s). If no return shipping label is enclosed, returns cannot be guaranteed. Pieces not sold during the exhibit will be returned in their original packaging. Details regarding packaging requirements will be provided with the acceptance letter. Local artists may arrange to hand deliver and pick up accepted work.

LEGAL
Applicants must be 18 at the time of acceptance, and agree to hold harmless Feral Factory Ltd., its agents, partners, and assignees.
