Northglenn Arts and Humanities Foundation (NAHF), acting on behalf of the City of Northglenn, invites proposals from artists (individual or teams) to design, fabricate, and install a series of sculptures on four existing sculpture pads for the new Webster Lake Promenade in Northglenn, CO. The successful proposal for the commissioned, site-specific, permanent art installation will include details of the design, fabrication, and installation of artwork.  Proposals will be reviewed by site stakeholders including NAHF, Northglenn Urban Renewal Authority, Hawkins Development, and City staff.  The winner will be selected by May, 2017 and design, fabrication, and installation is expected to begin soon after.

The winning artist or team will be awarded up to $100,000 to complete the project. Design, materials, fabrication, installation, and any other costs associated with the project incurred by artist or team, must fit within the $100,000 budget.

The selected artist or team will design, fabricate and install the sculptures for the four pads detailed on the map. The sculpture pads are 9'10" diameter circles made of poured concrete.  Four light fixtures per pad are installed with electricity. Fixtures are 6'4" across from each other. The existing lighting can be used, changed or removed. No height restrictions.

Proposals must include the medium/materials/application technique to be used to create a durable installation. No hanging sculptures, wooden sculptures, or water features.

Multiple proposals are allowed. You must create a Café profile and registration for each proposal. Each proposal allows for images and video. All Café submission questions can be sent to cafe@westaf.org

Images must be unique and free from copyright restrictions.

All proposals will be screened to ensure artistic merit and appropriateness for outdoor display.

All proposals, including .jpg formatted photos, must be submitted via the CaFE website. For additional information, please contact Director Michael Stricker at (303) 450-8727 or by email at mstricker@northglenn.org. (An additional map and lighting specs available by emailing Michael.)
