Alternative processes include, but are not limited to: Albumen, Cyanotype, Van
Dyke Brown, Platinum/Palladium, Gum Bichromate, Bromoil, Salt Print, Tintype,
Ziatype, Daguerreotype, Image Transfers, Liquid Emulsion, Photogravure Chemigram as well as handmade prints created from digital negatives. Traditional Silver Gelatin Prints,
C-Prints and Digital Prints are not eligible. There is no limitation as to subject matter.The competition is open to all photographers age 18 or older, excluding members of Soho Photo Gallery.
This year's juror is Morgan Post who is a Professor of Photography at Long Island and
Fairfield Universities. He serves on the advisory board of The Penumbra Foundation in
New York and teaches workshops across the eastern United States. In his photography he embraces 19th century techniques and uses antiquarian processes to experiment and innovate. His work has been exhibited and published nationationally and internationally. Recent exhibitions include Art Intersection, El Laboratorio in Granada Spain, Art Space New Haven, and Vermont Center for Photography.
