ABOUT THE EXHIBITION:
Organized by the Plein Air Painters of New Mexico, the PAPNM National Juried Members Show is in its 9th year and will be hosted in 2017 by Sorrel Sky Gallery in Santa Fe, NM. It is a juried exhibition of original plein air paintings.
AWARDS:
Over $14,000 in awards and prizes including $5000 in cash awards.
ENTRY FEES:
Artist & Signature Members may submit up to 4 images for jurying, $25 for the initial image and $15 for each additional image. Signature Members will have at least one work accepted into the exhibition. All entries by Artist and Signature Members must be submitted through www.CallForEntry.org and all membership dues and entry fees must be paid by the entry deadline.

ABOUT THE HOST GALLERY:
Sorrel Sky Gallery is one of Santa Fe’s most prestigious and respected galleries. It is located in the heart of Santa Fe about a block from the historic plaza and represents the work of many well known traditional, contemporary and western artists. Sorrel Sky Gallery was founded in 2002 and has two locations, the original in Durango, Colorado, and the newest location in Santa Fe, NM.
JUDGE OF AWARDS:
Nationally acclaimed artist, Bob Rohm, is the 2017 Judge of Awards. He is a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America, Oil Painters of America and the Outdoor Painters Society. Please visit his website http://bobrohm.com .
JURORS OF SELECTION:
Jurors of selection are Roger Williams, (http://www.rogerwilliamsart.com), Dave Ballew, (http://www.mclarryfineart.com) and Shanan Campbell Wells, Owner, Sorrel Sky Gallery, (http://www.sorrelsky.com).
ELIGIBILITY:
Open to all members of Plein Air Painters of New Mexico working in two dimensional media excluding photography and digital art. Membership for 2017 must be current and paid in full by the entry deadline for submissions to be considered. To join visit www.papnm.org and click on “Join Us” and follow the instructions for payment. PAPNM is a national organization that was organized in 2008 as a 501C6 nonprofit to promote and help member artists to show and sell their work.
EXHIBITION RULES:
Please read each item carefully
• PAPNM Artist and Signature Members may submit up to 4 images for jurying into the exhibition. Signature members will have at least one work accepted into the exhibition. All entries by Artist and Signature Members must be submitted through www.CallForEntry.org and all entry fees must be paid by the deadline.
• PAPNM Master Signature Members will receive a separate email invitation from the exhibition committee and need not apply through CaFÉ.
• All work must be original. • All work must be at least 80% completed en plein air
• The minimum retail price for any painting shall be $500. A painting priced lower than the minimum of $500 will be withdrawn from jury consideration and cannot be replaced. • All Paintings must have been painted within the last two years.
• There are no maximum or minimum sizes for this show. Applicants are encouraged to enter some of their larger works as well as smaller pieces so there will be variety in the show.
• An Applicant’s PAPNM Membership status must be up to date and paid in full by the show application closing date.
• Submitted work must not have been shown previously in any PAPNM exhibition. This provision is not meant to exclude work previously included in PAPNM on-line contests.
• Work done under the guidance of an instructor is not eligible.

• All accepted paintings must be available for hanging and sale in the exhibition. If any invited painting is withdrawn, the artist will not be allowed to participate in PAPNM Member Shows in 2018
• Each painting that is submitted will receive its own “Invited” or “Not Invited” email from CaFÉ. Artists should check their CaFÉ accounts after the close of the application period to verify the status of their own applications.
FRAMING REQUIREMENTS:
• Accepted work must be sturdily framed and ready to hang with D-rings and wire.
• Gallery-wrapped canvases will be accepted if appropriate for the painting.
• No saw-tooth hangers will be accepted.
SHIPPING AND DELIVERY:
Complete shipping and delivery information will be included with notification to accepted artists.
