Eligibility: All visual artists ages 21 and over and residing in the United States are eligible to apply.
- Fees: FREE to apply
- DEADLINE: Thursday, August 31, 2017 at 11:59p.m. MST
- Awards: Winning artist will receive $2500 plus have their artwork featured on 1 Million cans which will be distributed nation-wide. 2nd Place artist will be awarded $1000. 3rd Place artist will be awarded $500.
- Requirements: Submit a minimum of one original work of art:
- Artwork must be 7.5" x 4.25" (or proportionate to that)
- Artwork must be NO MORE THAN 6 COLORS
- Artwork must convey an environmental theme promoting sustainability and that aluminum cans are "infinitely recyclable" and the most sustainable package.
- Be aware that three logos - CAN'd Aid Foundation, Ball & Metal Recycles Forever will be added to final winning artwork. In addition, DRINKING WATER and other necessary text will be included too.
- Materials to submit - minimum of 3, maximum of 8 digital images via Cafe site. One of the images submitted MUST FIT CAN TEMPLATE (floor/siteplan image)
- Timeline: Thursday, July 27 - Applications open, Thursday, August 31 - Applications close, September 5th - Jury dates
- Notification - Top Five Finalists announced + notified Wednesday, September 6, 2017 and public social media voting: Thursday, September 7-Thursday, September 14th. FINAL WINNER ANNOUNCED Friday, September 15, 2017
