The Bascom: A Center for Visual Arts in Highlands, North Carolina is celebrating the craft of the chair for the 2017 American Craft Today: Chair exhibition. American Craft Today is a bi-annual national competition featuring artists working in a specific field of craft. This year we are excited to exhibit the art of the chair!
Juror, Brian Fireman, is a nationally exhibited craftman currently working in the mountains of western North Carolina. The juror will also be selecting four choice award winners to be honored with cash awards. An Opening Reception on October 6, 2017 will include a juror's talk and presentation of the awards.
