The Cape Cod Museum of Art invites visual artists residing in the United States to enter its annual national open juried exhibition with a chance to exhibit in one of the main galleries. Juror: Mark Adams will select up to 40 finalists to exhibit their work, and will choose several pieces for awards. $500.00 Most Fitting Theme. $250.00 Jurors Choice Award. Honorable Mention. Awardees' will be given recognition on the museum's website and social media. ACCEPTABLE WORK 2D and 3D work in all media. All work must be original and created in the last 3 years. Reprints or work found to be copied from copyrighted work will not be accepted. All work must be exhibition ready to install with the appropriate hardware and technical equipment needed for presentation. NO SAW TOOTH HANGERS OR GALLERY CLIPS! Works that do NOT adhere to these guidelines will not be exhibited. Each submission of art should be labeled on the back: Artist's Name, Title, Medium, & Date created. + insurance value. 2D work must be framed without glass. Plexi-glass is acceptable. NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTANCE Notification will be sent via email on or before March 9, 2018. All accepted work MUST remain in the gallery during the duration of the exhibition. NO exceptions. Ship work by USPS or UPS only, work must be in REUSABLE containers with PRE-PAID shipping label enclosed. NO PLASTIC PEANUTS! All packing material will be reused for returns of your art... Hand delivered work will be received between 10:30 am and 4:00pm on March 23, 2018. SIZE REQUIREMENTS 2D work: 48" x 48" Maximum, including the frame. 3D work: Free standing pieces: Maximum 72" high x 36" wide x 36" deep. Pedestal pieces: Maximum 18" x 18" base size x 36" tall Works will not be offered for sale; however inquires will be forwarded directly to the artist. The CCMoA takes no commission; however, donations to the "Exhibitions Programs" will be appreciated. The museum is a 501(c) (3) charitable organization.
