Presents
A CALL TO ARTISTS
for
Off Center
Second Annual International Ceramic Art Competition:
international artists sharing their vision of ceramics.
Since the first ceramics were created, like Venus of Dolní V ě stonice, before 25,000 BCE
and pottery vessels that were discovered in Jiangxi, China, which date back to 18,000
BC, people have been fascinated with clay. Here is your opportunity to show what your
vision is in ceramics.
Our Judge this year will be Michelle Gregor who will be our Susan Cooley Gilliom Artist
in Residence in the spring at Blue Line Arts for two weeks.
Michelle Gregor
San Francisco Bay Area artist Michelle Gregor creates sculpture in high fire ceramic and
bronze. Her work has been described as lyrical, graceful, spiritual.
Her architectural sculpture graces the exterior of the Olympic Club on Sutter Street in
San Francisco and an interior space at the Spa at Pebble Beach. Her figurative sculptures
in bronze and ceramic are in private homes, offices, and gardens of private collectors.
She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from University of California, Santa Cruz and
Master of Fine Arts degree from San Francisco State University.
