Selection panels have the option of using the roster either in combination with an open call or invitational or as the sole resource for identifying appropriate artists for a project.
ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must have successfully completed at least two permanent or temporary site-specific commissions. Professional artists living and working the United States are eligible to apply. Non-US residents must be able to show current ability to work in the United States prior to being contracted for a project in Oregon.
DEADLINES
The deadline is rolling. However, materials must be submitted for jurying as follows:
Wednesday, February 21, 2018: Submit materials for second selection round
Wednesday, August 8, 2018: Submit materials for third selection round
February 2019: All artists on the roster will have to reapply for the 2020-2023 Roster
APPLICATION MATERIALS
The application submission must include all of the information and materials described below. All materials must be submitted through CaFE™
Optional Design Team Statement of Interest (for RACC projects only). In 2000 or less characters and spaces describe your design team and/or collaborative experience. See below under “Additional Questions”.
Two-Page Resume (uploaded as PDF) that outlines professional accomplishments. As part of the resume include three professional references (name, affiliated organization, email address and phone number). For team applications, include 2-page resumes for each member.
Exactly 10 Images* of Previous Work that illustrate projects within the context of a specific site. These images are the primary way for evaluating the quality of your work. Up to 3 moving image files may be submitted as part of the 10-image limit.
Image Identification List (uploaded as PDF) numbered in the order that the images appear on CaFE™ and that provides project title, location, date completed, media, dimensions, budget, commissioning agency, project partners, brief description of the project/conceptual information.
ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS
- Design Team - Indicate Yes or No if you want to be considered for Design Team opportunities through RACC. The RACC Design Team Roster serves as a source of pre-qualified artists who can work on a range of public and private public art opportunities to involve an artist with the project design team in one or more of the following ways: (1) creating an art plan for a site; (2) collaborating on early design along with having a budget to create artwork(s); (3) identifying opportunities for other artists to provide design elements within the construction budget and/or complemented with public art fun; and (4) creating a distinctive art component
- Indicate your minimum budget requirement, if any, in US dollars. If you wish to be considered for any budget amount, please enter zero ($0). We understand that many factors come into play when considering a project, and that you may decline an invitation for any reason.
DISCLAIMER
Neither OAC nor RACC guarantees that an artist selected for the roster will be considered for a project in Oregon. Selected artists may continue to apply for other OAC and RACC administered public art projects for the duration that they are on the roster.
Artists not selected for this roster may apply to Open Calls for other public art projects managed by RACC or OAC.
