Legal Agreement 1. A Call to Artists will be posted once a year. Application processing fee of $40.00 is nonrefundable. 2. A five-member jury comprised of artists, educators, and scholars will choose the artists each year from the pool of applicants. Artists must be 18 years or older, and reside in the United States or Canada to be considered for the residency. Compliance to the application guidelines does not guarantee acceptance to the Lucid Art Foundation Residency Program. 3. The program will offer three-week residencies. No stipend or car will be available to the artists. All expenses for travel to and from the residency will be at the artists’ expense. The artists will be responsible for their personal needs and food requirements. 4. All artists will be required to sign and comply with a Waiver and Release of Liability form, Confidentiality form, and Visitor’s Policy form. Photographic restrictions during their stay will apply. 5. A $100 refundable deposit (by check or cash) will be collected from each artist for cleaning and/or repairing any damages to the cottage or studio. 6. The Lucid Art Foundation reserves the right to use artist's name and short biographical information, as well as images from the residency and artist's work for archival and promotional purposes. Credit will be given to the artist and photographer. 7. Once a year, the Lucid Art Foundation will curate a show of the residency artists' work at a local community art gallery. The artists will be asked to submit one or two works from the residency period or after. The artists are responsible for delivering the works to the gallery, and when the show ends, the artists are responsible for picking up their artworks or paying the shipping costs for them to be returned. Artists must have works delivered to gallery 2 days before gallery install or work will not be exhibited. Each artist will receive 50% of any sales. The remaining 50% will be split between the Foundation and the gallery.
