CALL | Dab Art is pleased to announce the first installment of our Dab Art Quarterly arts publication and online exhibition. This new project looks to artist's views on current political, geopolitical, and social issues.

The first edition, entitled: CLICKBATE, asks artists to submit politically-charged work motivated by the current state of news media. Contemporary journalism is in a precarious position with most people getting stories from social media outlets like Twitter and Facebook. With terms like fake news, yellow journalism, and clickbait, it feels as though we live in a time where fact is dictated by "likes" and truths can be outweighed by opinion.

JOURNAL | The published journal will be a high-quality, 90-page, 6x9-inch, soft-covered book.
All exhibiting artists will receive a gratis paperback edition of CLICKBAIT from Dab Art; a hardback book will also be available for purchase at www.dabart.me. Journals will also be added to the permanent catalog in the LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art) Balch Art Research Library.

AWARDS | All exhibiting artists will receive a gratis paperback edition of
CLICKBAIT, from Dab Art. Two cash honorariums will also be awarded. A $300 honorarium to the artist selected for the cover and a $100 honorarium for the juror's pick. The artist selected for the cover will also receive a gratis hardback edition.

EXHIBITION | All featured artists will also be exhibited as part of the online show, running from September 1st - December 1st, 2018 and hosted by DabArt.me. With over 50,000 annual page views and an additional 10,000-contact mailing list, the Dab Art online exhibition will give artists an opportunity to reach a huge audience of collectors and art-lovers from around the world.
