Competition opens April 22, 2019....Deadline for entries is July 16, 2019....Notification of acceptance is July 24, 2019....Deadline for accepted works at the Gallery is Ausust 16, 2019....Reception and Awards is August 25, 2019....Exhibition concludes September 30, 2019
AWARD CATAGORIES -(1) Oils, acrylics and pastels (2) Water Color (3) Mixed media (4) Drawing, pencils, charcoal or pen and ink
CATAGORY AWARDS $200 for first places, $75 for second places, $25 for third places
Entrant must be at least 18 years old and the piece must have been completed with the last 3 years.
Accepted works may be gallery wrapped canvases or framed and wired for hanging. Mailed entries should be suitable for the rigors of packaged shipping. Framed image size cannot exceed 30" x 36" nor an area of more than 1080 sq. inches.
Artist may submit up to 3 pieces in their entry, Entries are to be submitted usinng Cafe' Entry sebsite at callforentry.org.
A non-refundable entry of $35 is charged each entrant for up to three entries. Credit card payments are accepted on the Cafe' Entry website.
Ship to: Gallery by the Lake, Inc at 106 W Pryce Street, Lake Charles, LA 70601
Awards will be announced at the opening reception. Artwork must be shipped in reusable, prepaid boxes and include fee for the carrier to pick up the package at the Gallery at the end of show.
A 20% gallery commission will be assessed on the sale of the art during the show. We reserve the right to reproduce accepted entries for future press releases, website and FB promotion of this event.

A juried show is a competition in which an artist's work is judged for art competency, imagination and skill. To enter, artists submit a photograph of their entry via Cafe' Entry. The artist whose work that is juried into the show will be notofied so that they may drop off or mail art to the Gallery for the exhibit and awards on or before August 16.
Please do not use popcorn when shipping the art.
