LINCOLN GALLERY, sponsored by the Thompson Valley Art League, announces their 2018 REGIONAL FINE ART SHOW.  Open to all regional artists working in the 6 categories listed below.  Work must be original art, not copied from published photos or works by other artists. All entries must be for sale.  No installations or sets of works which must be installed individually to make one entry will be accepted.  Cash prizes awarded for Best of Show plus First and Second Place in each category.

The exhibition will be shown at the Lincoln Gallery in Loveland, Colorado,  from
11/9/18 through 12/14/18 with the Artists’ Reception and Awards Presentation
on Friday, November 9th from 6:00-8:30 PM.

ELIGIBILITY:
Open to all artists working in the listed categories. Work must be original art, not copied from published photos or works by other artists. No installations or sets of works to make one entry will be accepted.  The jury reserves the right to disqualify any work which it considers to be in poor taste or inappropriate. 

Entries that have received cash awards from previous Lincoln Gallery or Thompson Valley Art League sponsored shows are not permitted. Entries for this Regional Show will be limited to residents of Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah and Wyoming. Entries from outside these states will not be considered and entry fees will not be refunded.

Artists may enter multiple categories but total entries may not exceed 6.  Artwork not
meeting any of the above criteria will be rejected.

ENTRIES:
Only entries received online through CaFE’ (callforentry.org) will be considered.
Deadline for entry is midnight, October 14, 2018.   Entries will be juried on October 24th and 25th.  All artists will be notified by email of the juror's decisions by October 26th.  (Please check your junk mail before emailing the gallery for quesions. NO PHONE CALLS please).

While the Lincoln Gallery will undertake the utmost care in handling all entries, they will not be held liable for damage occurring either in the gallery or during shipping. Insuring the artwork is the responsibility of the artist.

FEES:
$45 entry fee includes up to 3 entries.  Additional entries are $10 each, maximum six
entries total.  All fees are non-refundable.  An email address will be our primary contact source.  Only works selected by the juror(s) will be displayed and eligible for awards from the show.

HAND DELIVERIES:
Hand delivered work will be received November 2nd and 3rd, from 12:00-5:30 pm,at the Lincoln Gallery.

SHIPPING:
All artwork being shipped to the Lincoln Gallery must be received by November 3rd.   Any artwork not received by November 3rd, mayl not be exhibited.  Shipping containers will be stored and reused for return shipment.   If a piece is sold and the artist wishes the shipping container returned, the Lincoln Gallery must be notified by email.   A prepaid return-shipping label must be included with all shipped artwork. Return shipments will be shipped by December 28th.

DETAILS:
Flat work (including frame) shall not exceed a linear measurement of 75 inches
(length+width) and must be wired for hanging.  Works exceeding these dimensions or
with saw-tooth hangers may not be accepted.  Plaques will be accepted if they are
properly wired.  Gallery-wrapped photographs and paintings are acceptable as long as all sides are painted or finished with no visible staples.  

Gallery-wrapped canvas must be secured on 1” thick stretcher bars.  Gallery-wrapped art and plaques must be wired for hanging. Flat work to be hung cannot weigh more than 25 lbs.

Artist/Art label(s) will be included with the acceptance letters and should be attached to the lower right corner on the back of the work. The price we will show on your display labels will be based on the price(s) you indicate on your CaFE’ entry
form. No changes will be allowed

Three-dimensional art must be completed works, no more than 46 inches in any one
dimension and weigh no more than 50 pounds.  Artists may be required to provide a
display stand.  Relief works are considered 3-D and must be wired for hanging.  Worksmust be labeled with an Artist/Art label.

NEW THIS YEAR! All accepted artists are encouraged to submit one original miniature piece priced at no more than $150.00, in their accepted category that will be displayed and available for purchase during the show. Wall hung miniatures may not exceed 12” on the longest side including frame and 3D miniatures will be limited to 8” on longest side.

SALES:
All works must be for sale and preferably remain on display until closing of the exhibit.
Sold work may be removed if so desired by customer.   Sales will be encouraged to
further the efforts of the artists and to stimulate acquisition of original art by patrons and the public.  A 35% commission will be collected by the Lincoln Gallery on all sales.  Payment for sold items will be mailed on the 20th of the month following the close of the show.

AWARDS:
Cash awards and prizes will exceed $2,000.  Awards will br presented to the Best of Show winner plus1st and 2nd place in each category and will be announced at the Opening Reception to be held on November 9th from 6:00-8:30 pm, at the Lincoln Gallery, 429 North Lincoln Ave, Loveland, CO.

Dec 14th - Show closes
Dec 15th - Pickup unsold work from 12:00-5:00 pm (Arrangements must be made for alternate pickup times)
Dec 28th - Unsold work will be shipped
