The competition is open to all US residents 18 years of age or older, excluding fotofoto gallery artists. Any photographic medium including digital and alternative processes will be accepted. The maximum height or width of framed work cannot exceed 24 inches. Free-standing pieces cannot be accepted.
SUBMISSIONS:
All entries must be submitted via the CaFE system, mail-in entries will not be considered. Images must conform to CaFE formatting standards; instructions can be found in the CaFE help section.
FOR ACCEPTED ENTRIES:
Approximately 30 photographs will be chosen for the nearly six-week exhibition which will be held November 28, 2018 - January 5, 2019. Shipping information will be provided to artists selected for participation upon completion of the jury process. To ensure the cohesiveness of the exhibition, we request that work be framed in simple black or white frames with neutral museum quality mats (no colors please).

Dr. Riley will select 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. Cash prizes -1st place $500, 2nd place $300, 3rd place $200.
ABOUT FOTOFOTO GALLERY:
fotofoto gallery was formed in 2003 by a group of fine art photographers desiring to create a center where photographic visions could be exchanged. Now in our fifteenth year, fotofoto gallery continues to be a place for the photographic community and students to view a wide range of photographic processes including traditional black and white, digital, experimental and alternative processes. The gallery hosts twelve exhibitions each year and reaches out to the community by providing invitational shows, workshops and lectures. The gallery is located in the heart of Huntington, New York and is open Wednesday through Sunday, and by appointment. Fotofoto gallery is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
ABOUT THE JUROR:
Fotofoto is proud to have Dr. Charles A. Riley, director of Nassau County Museum of Art as our Juror. As a curator, he contributed to the museum’s Picasso, Surrealism and Abstract Expressionists exhibitions. Dr. Riley has also curated exhibitions nationally and internationally. His writing has appeared in major art publications including Art & Auction, Art & Antiques and Antiques and Fine Art. He has contributed art reviews and essays to Hamptons Art Hub since 2015. His latest book is “Free as Gods: How the Jazz Age Reinvented Modernism” bringing the number of books he authored to 32. As a sought after guest commentator on the art market as well as other topics, Dr. Riley has appeared on all major TV networks. He as edited several books with Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and was a tenured professor at CUNY. Born and raised in Manhasset, NY, Dr. Riley is a summa cum laude graduate of Princeton University and received his Ph.d at CCNY
