Call Description

Over $20K in Cash Awards.
Transparent Watercolor Only.
Must be a TWSA member in good standing whose dues ($40) are paid for the upcoming 2019 year. (can become a member by paying dues during entry process).
Entry fees are $10 for one image or $15 for two images.(free for Life members)
Resident of North America and 18 years or older.

Life Members Free, use TWSA Life member coupon TWSA4Life for each entry otherwise it's $5 for the second image.

Enter Coupon Code 40offTWSA in Coupon box (only if you have prepaid 2019 dues). You will be charged the entry fees only.   For a second image pay the additional $5 "Media Fee". 

TWSA monitors entries and Improper usage of coupon codes will automatically disqualify your entry.

- UNPAID New and Renewing Members, without leaving this site, enter 1 image for $50 and 2 images for $55 (Pay "Media Fee" $5 for 2nd image) and automatically become a new or renewed TWSA member.

Requirements of Paintings:

-Must be original work of the entrant, created after January 1, 2017 with no supervision of an instructor.

- Transparent watercolor applied in a transparent manner on single sheet of 100% rag or cotton paper, free of pigment and or embedded materials.

- Use of any pencil is only for planning marks.

- Framed size will not exceed 50" in either direction

- Minimum size (mat opening) of 8”x10"

Unacceptable entries include: White paint or gesso/priming, Acrylic, Gouache, Ink, Pastel, Metallic/iridescent paint, Collage, or surface constructions, Embossing/varnishing, Yupo/other types of paper not listed as acceptable. Use of digital images or enhancements. Nothing created prior to January 1st, 2017.

Clarification for you, on the online form:

Dollar = Sales Price;

Value = If not for sale, it's the value of your piece for museum insurance.

Note: 30% Commission is charged by the Kenosha Public Museum for paintings sold.

Laurin McCracken is known internationally as one of the top award winning realist watercolorists. His work has been invited to or exhibited in Juried shows around the world. Laurin holds Signatures in more than a dozen watercolor societies. His work has been published in multiple national and international publications and his paintings can be found in many private and corporate collections. Laurin degreed through Auburn, Rice and Princeton Universities and resides in Texas. He is the current president of Watercolor USA Honor Society.

Linda Daly Baker is an international award-winning watercolorist residing in Charleston, SC. Linda holds signatures in multiple watercolor societies and recently achieved her Dolphin Fellow in AWS. Linda is a sought after juror and workshop instructor world - wide. Her paintings appear in many publications. Linda has two instructional videos available through Creative Catalyst Productions, “Layers of Design” and “Fearless Watercolor”.

June 7 • Private reception for Artists/Spouses and Workshop Attendees held by KPM Friends of Museum

June 8 • Celebrate Watercolor Awards Dinner
      10:30 am and 2 pm Juror/Instructor Demos

August 4 • Exhibition closes

Week of August 5 • Paintings returned
