The Coral Gables Museum is celebrating its building’s 80th Anniversary with an art competition for visual artists. We are looking for artworks that reflect on the beautiful keystone building that once hosted the Coral Gables Police and Fire Station and is currently the home of the Coral Gables Museum. Artists are welcome to consider all things associated with the building either as it was in 1938, when it was conceived, or as it is now – from the architectural, to the historical, civic and/or sculptural aspects.

Finalists will be invited to participate in an exhibition at the Museum opening on Friday, February 1, 2019.  Hosted by the Museum’s 80th Anniversary Committee, a closing reception will take place on Monday, February 25th, 2019, where prize recipients will be announced.

Cash prizes will be awarded as follows:

1st PLACE: $1500
2nd PLACE: 1000
