Viridian Artists is proud to present:
The 30th Annual International Juried Exhibition
Entry Fee: Ends June 19, 2019 (11:59pm) = $45/ 3 works, $5 each additional work.
Juror: Vernita Nemec, independent curator in New York City and the Director of Viridian Artists. As an artist herself, Vernita was a pioneer of the downtown art scene. She has nurtured and promoted work by under known artist throughout her career.
Previously, Nemec served as Director of Artists Talk On Art, interviewing art world luminaries, and as an independent curator at Henry Street Settlement Art Center. She has been curating extensive groups exhibitions of art from recycled materials and trash, entitled “Art from Detritus” for which she received a Kaufmann Foundation Grant and a Puffin Foundation Grant.
Cash Awards For !st, 2nd and 3rd Prize Winners: All winners will be part of a group show in our Chelsea gallery space, and also will be listed on Viridian's website.
The show will be exhibited from July 16-August 10, 2019, with an opening reception on Thursday, July 18th, 6-8pm
Size and Specifications:
The exhibition will consist of two-dimensional and three- dimensional art works in all media. The size limitation for wall-hung work is 60 inches high by 60 inches wide (including frame.) Free-standing work may not exceed 30 inches wide by 30 inches deep by 96 inches high. Modular work or installations may be larger.
Accepted Work
The receipt of any entry will be understood to imply agreement on the part of the entrant with all conditions set forth in the prospectus. All accepted 2D work must be suitably framed and wired for hanging. Plexiglass only, no glass. Sculptors may be required to supply pedestals where necessary. Complex installations may require the presence of the artist. Sales will be encouraged. The Gallery takes a 20% commission. Full-time students are not eligible.
