ART NOW: PAINTING is the fifth annual exhibition in the Ann Arbor Art Center’s Art Now series.  Each year, on a rotating basis, the Art Center presents a media-focused exhibition as part of the series.  This year's exhibit features innovative work in painting.

This exhibition will highlight artists that employ traditional painting techniques, as well as artists who move across disciplines and push the boundaries of what defines contemporary painting, including through the application of hybrid processes and use of mixed media.

Art Now: Painting is characterized by its inclusiveness of genres, styles, aesthetics, concepts, materials, and processes. Since contemporary painting is often tightly integrated with other art forms, submissions are accepted in ANY medium.

Awards: $500 Best in Show, $200 Second Place, $100 Third Place
